The only think I didn't like was the fact I had scaffolding against are bedroom windows lol. The hotel it self was lovely and lovely breakfast the will happily make pancakes for the kids ect. I would go again. I didn't see round the hotel so unsure what eles was their other than room,bar and breakfast area

The night porter if that's what he was could have been nicer when my friend asked for a drink from the bar, I myself don't drink and was not looking for one but he really could have been nicer about it, not that this review will make much difference.

The girls in the reception were really nice and easy to deal with, and the bar man was also really friendly.

It's my own fault for not requesting something different but I got a room that was a bit of a trek. This is quite normal as I expect most business guests prefer to be away from the hubbub of the front of house.

Beautiful old hotel in a quiet location. There was a wedding event on one evening but you'd have hardly noticed. The rooms were quiet if not a little warm but overall clean with friendly staff keeping the bins empty and clean towels topped up. It's a personal thing but I rate hotels on their showers and Lucan did not disappoint. High pressure and easily adjustable made it feel like you had your own personal spa in your room. Ideal for the hot and sticky weather.

We didn't know there was a menu option for breakfast until our last night, so feel we missed an exceptional breakfast each day. Manager was receptive and apologetic, but unfortunately still our disappointment. Some things, like the shower, show signs of age and need attention.

Our shower was stuck on hot setting and was way too hot. We reported the issue but unfortunately it wasn’t resolved.

Not much to do at the hotel but we picked it for its affordability and proximity to Emerald Park as we were coming from a couple of hours away.

Location was easy to find and close to a large shopping centre for us to get dinner.

Room for 3 was manageable but on the small side. What was super tiny was the bathroom with hardly any room to move around and the toilet wedged in-between the shower and the sink. I am petite but someone taller or larger than me would have felt rather claustrophobic. Water pressure was very low, likely because we were on the top floor.

Location to travel into Dublin is good, there is a bus stop very close. The hotel itself is a historical building with nice decor and lots of character, offering a lovely backdrop for fancy events.

Breakfast was just okay, the staff were really friendly but could have explained the options available to us, for example, we didn't know poached eggs or pancakes were an option until we saw other people with them.

The beds were extremely comfortable.The location is excellent for activities in and around Dublin. All the staff we interacted with were all really friendly.

This hotel suited us as we were meeting some old friends from the area, used to drink there and in the County Bar many years ago. Brought back some old memories. A good place to stay but looking a little tired.
