I did experience a problem with noise from the room next door. There was loud talking and music for about three hours during the night, between 2am and 4 am which made it difficult to sleep. I understand that sometimes other guests can be inconsiderate, but better soundproofing would have made a big difference. I did consider calling the front desk, but by the time I thought to do so, the noise had already started to die down. The hotel served its purpose for a short stay. If the noise issue hadn’t occurred, I probably would have rated it higher. It’s an okay option, but I’d suggest checking reviews for consistency in guest experience before booking.

While clean, the rooms and facilities are showing their age.

We stayed for one night at this hotel. The property is a bit outdated and would definitely benefit from some renovations, but it was very clean and well-kept. The beds were comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, while the hotel could use some updates, it provided a clean, restful stay.

This is minor but temperature control in the room would have been a great bonus as it was a very hot time of year and had to leave the windows open which lead you a lot of early traffic noise.

The staff are friendly. The food was very nice. We had breakfast and dinner. The car parking is very handy. Even though their are refurbishment works ongoing, it only caused very minor inconvenience. Overall a great second time staying here. Would stay again.

We had 2 rooms for a family of 5. They were right beside eachother which was great. However, they were right above the smoking area of the bar. Noise from the fans and people was annoying but wasn't too bad. Also it was very warm in the rooms with no air conditioning.

The room was very spacious for us and three grandchildren. We also had dinner in the bar which was very good and reasonably priced. Overall we had a very nice stay hotel and all the staff were very nice and welcoming.

Our room was on the front overlooking the main street and there was a lot of noise with passing traffic and people talking if you left the windows open which we did because it was very warm. The hotel parking was very tight and I wouldn't advise anything bigger like jeeps or large estate cars to enter.

The location was excellent we visited emerald park and Newgrange sites which was close to the hotel. The food was very good, we had dinner and breakfast which was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfy and clean. My family thought it was a great hotel and would return anytime for a stay.

Difficult to get parking initially as we had a roof box on and couldn't park in the hotel underground car-park due to height restrictions - but not a problem later in the day - there is a parking bay directly outside the hotel - perfect.

We enjoyed our stay at The Newgrange Hotel - the rooms were clean, well appointed and nicely furnished. We enjoyed the breakfast - very friendly staff and great choice.
