- The room felt a bit uncomfortable and not very inviting, it lacked coziness and warmth. A few plants, some color and a proper sofa would already make a big difference. - The mattress needs renewal, as we could feel the springs. - Because of this, we didn’t really feel at ease or “fresh” in the room.

The host on site was clueless and of zero help. He didn’t even know where a hair dryer, coffee,etc could be found and property said it had those things. When asking the host about restaurants or location of anything he had no answers. Poor! Worse yet, the bed only had box springs, no mattress and we had already stayed at 9 different places to know this was not the norm. The common area was dirty with empty wrappers, drink bottles, dirt on floors, etc. This likely comes with hiring a very young male to be host with no motivation to know about the town or property.

Walkable to a lot of stuff was the only thing.

Where to start! The staff weren’t present on site. The property smelt like damp and there were patches of mould. It didn’t feel clean and it was very dusty in places. The shower leaked and overflowed onto the bathroom floor. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Location can’t be beaten. Right in the centre of Kinsale and close to everything.

The host was pleasant and location was good. Nothing else.

The only redeeming thing about the "Lodge" was the pleasant host. Although the place seems to have been recently redecorated it's poorly done. The electric sockets were hanging out of the wall and didn't work (we had to push them back in place), toilet seat was broken, room was dirty and dusty, large damp stains on the wall. You get the idea, even the bedsheets didn't fit the bed! For app. €100\night we expected more. Stay elsewhere would be my advice.
