I loved everything about The Small House. It's got its own charm, very cozy and homey. The kitchen was spacious and offered everything we needed. The livingroom was spacious as well, a very comfortable place to be - our toddler kept happily racing through the livingroom, the kitchen and the little garden. The bedrooms were clean and comfy. The upper bathroom was maybe a bit cramped, but super clean as well and also, there are two bathrooms, so no complaints :D Getting the key was super easy, as well, no complications at all. Location was in a prime area of Listowel. Walking distance to everything. And a great location to tour Kerry from. The home was well equipped. Beds comfortable. House was very clean. Host was very communicative to help with any questions , advice etc

I like everything about the property. It is a typical older Irish home so for Americans who might not be familiar with turning on the hot water or the electric shower - it just takes getting used to but that’s not a “dislike”. It’s just worth mentioning for anyone who might not be familiar. Breda made sure everything was highlighted in a nice book with directions and info.

We loved The Small House. It was perfect size for my little family. The location was ideal. We were close to everything and felt very safe and comfortable. We were able to take day trips to Ballybunnion and Cork and be back to the house in no time. My brother and cousins live nearby so the location was ideal for them to visit, too!

The little extras that were left for us when we arrived were so thoughtful. Breda thought of everything from shampoo/conditioner, packet of biscuits to enjoy with a cuppa. The comfy beds and bed linen made the stay very comfy.

The shower was terrible. The water was either freezing or scalding. When exiting the property you have to take your garbage to the commercial size bins by the circle K and pay 9 euros to dispose of your garbage. Major inconvenience. Also major inconvenience that the owner has to collect the damage deposit after you put through your deposit for the house causing extra fees and charges .

Great location,all you need for self catering and more. The small house is comfortable and cosy. Would recommend to my friend and family. The host Breda was at hand if you need help.

Living room furniture was old & worn. Kitchen was small & awkward. There were only 4 or 5 clothes pins, baseboards are beat up & need painting. Kitchen countertop is uneven making very limited countertop space even more challenging to use. There is an unmarked small decline in living room which could be a trip hazard for those frail of condition. Oh, one of the door locks needs a bit of lube. And, watch your head with the slanted ceilings in the main bedroom.

Two bathrooms were a plus, heat worked well, city location was very convenient & felt safe. There were three different grocery stores all within walking distance. Refrigerator, (rusty) washer & stove worked well. Owner included foil, plastic wrap, laundry soap, salt &, pepper, a a small amount of sugar & milk, plus a bottle of wine ;) Beds upstairs are 2 twins & a double which I believe were mis-advertised as a queen. Upstairs bath is ok for people of average size. For my 6'2" 220lb husband the shower was very small, yet ok for either very skinny or avg height & weight people.
