A charming little cottage, with all the amenities required. Ample off road parking, and own little garden. Hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The Stable was rustic and charming, within walking distance of the beach and village. Quiet and restful. Fethard is a small village but has all the basics, i.e., shop, pub, cafe ,pharmacy, takeaway. Locals were friendly. Liam gave us loads of tips on walks. The castle and motte were fine examples of the type. Fethard is a good base to explore the peninsula.

The house was a bit on the cold side but soon warmed up once the electric heaters were turned on (it was Feb, so to be expected). There is no phone signal in or around the house, but WiFi is provided. Facilities are basic (to be expected for the price), but I was a bit surprised that there was no washing up liquid or bin bags. Towels were not provided either. However, Liam said he could provide them if we were stuck. Navigating the satellite TV was challenging, but Liam came to our rescue promptly. Of the unblocked channels available, we found very little of interest, so I would suggest bringing a laptop. The Wheelhouse Cafe was the only place to have a sit-down meal. The food was good, cheap with generous portions if a little limited. But it is a café after all. Last orders is 8pm.
