So many different things going downstairs which take away from the hotel experience. It would be best described as a bar and restaurant with rooms. Focus seems to be so much on that part of the business, breakfast for example is choosing from the external breakfast menu. Car park so tight for space it’s almost dangerous, in fact our car was scraped.

Staff were very helpful. Room was exactly as described, comfy bed, sea view and clean. It was on the 2nd floor and a long way up! Great location for a walk along Bray promenade.

Interesting place -- kind of kooky and weird! I felt like I was on the set of a Wes Anderson film. We stayed in An Ideal Husband Room -- clean and spacious enough for a family of 4 with 2 kids. Hotel added something fun to talk about during our vacation!

Two members of our group found the stair climb to the first floor rooms difficult due to mobility issues (no lift available!).

Room good, clean and tidy. Food in restaurant good. Staff all welcoming and helpful. Help with luggage to rooms useful!

Car park is very limited. Make sure to read the house rules as we didn’t and were charged extra on arrival in case of damages but this is refundable. Check in is a little late in the day if you are attending a concert in dublin but not the end of the world.

Bar Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and modern.

Felt it was definitely over priced. £298 for 1 night way too expensive and also charged £8.50 for parking.

Nice old property. Raj was very helpful with all our needs. Breakfast was nice.

The receptionist wasn’t welcoming! He was rather surly and unhelpful. There may have been a language problem but we didn’t get a good initial impression. The rooms on the top floor- particularly the one on the left - were rather warm.

Bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast and restaurant staff were great!

We had a double booking requiring a change of rooms, and the non sea view room we moved into was larger and more comfortable. Very good breakfasts were served in the bar area which was remarkably clean and fresh. We had an excellent curry in the Curry Leaf - highly recommended. Hotel well positioned on the seafront with limited, chargeable parking.

No breakfast available before 8 am, and nothing provided for guests departing before that time. We had to leave at 7.15 for flight connection and asked for something to take with us but were told the chef didn’t start work until 7.30. We therefore paid for a breakfast we didn’t have! The tv didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during our 4 night stay.

Very nice breakfast served from 8 am onwards

Late check in: 3 to make ourselves known to reception and drop bags; into room at 4. Downstairs felt under repair and renovation, and a little bit shoddy.

Lovely location with a great view of The Strand and the sea from our room. The breakfast was excellent and the staff serving was attentive and efficient, doing a great job.

No bath, only showers. Room with view is tiny, so it is better to have other room. Quite expensive price for a night stay. Late check in only from 4pm.

Staff were nice. Room clean. Warm. Location excellent. Great restaurant downstairs and few chippers just around the corner.

Having to pay €200 deposit! This didn’t happen on previous stay. We had already paid our 4 night stay in full; we are in our 60’s, I’m not sure what damage the owners thought we were likely to do! Room was very small, bathroom minute. Downstairs sitting room and upstairs balcony area were closed.

Location was great. Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable.

Cool hotel but I didn’t get the feeling besides a few posters on the wall that this hotel had anything to do with Oscar wild - staff also didn’t say anything - nothing wrong with the hotel, I just wouldn’t get your hopes up that you will learn more about him if staying here. For me was just a cozy seaside little hotel

It's a bit dated but there is a 19th century theme about the place. Not cheap but very little accommodation available in Bray at the moment. If you have heavy bags, the stairs is quite steep- no elevator, but the staff are helpful.

Rooms are fairly basic and a bit dated (themed) but they are clean and nice and quiet at night even on a Saturday night when the seafront was busy. Good nights sleep. Breakfasts are nice-not included in the price but only 12 Euro if you need one and coffee is included.
