Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Central location. Host was responsive to questions and queries. House is exactly as advertised and I had no issues. Clean and well equipped house on Main Street. Definitely would recommend. Little touches like coffee etc were so nice.

IrelandOnly on street parking. T. V. reception non existent. Ceiling too low in parts of the key areas of the house. Very little natural light in any room of the property. Name of property totally at variance with the reality of what visitor expected or expected.

IrelandHave been robbed. I booked for my in-laws and was charged €279 upfront for 2 nights. The accommodation is not fit for purpose. Windows could not be shut, blinds were broken, tv was broken and the shower was broken. When the host was contacted about the shower he said he knew it was broken before they even arrived. They had to leave after the 1 night as they wanted to shower so had to find new accommodation at late notice. He said contact Booking.com and agreed to refund the 2nd night which my in-laws agreed to. Personally considering the state of the place I would have wanted more of a refund. He is now ignoring my messsges and calls and I can see on his wats app that he has been active. He is also ignoring all correspondence from Booking.com. As a result I have received a credit (not refund) from Booking.com of about 1/4 of the cost. This has been a terrible experience. Do not get caught out by these people. Very upset and frustrated by the entire experience.

IrelandThe WiFi could do with a upgrade!
The Cottage is located in an ideal location to explore the lovely town of Ardara, and surrounding areas of West Donegal. On street parking is the best option as the car park across the rd, is a slight walk with bags! The Cottage itself was very clean & tidy and had everything we needed for a short stay! We had problems with the tv, but Raymond & Paddy were very quick to respond & help us get the issue sorted!
