Room, shower and lighting needed updating. No lift if you have mobility problems stairs can be a bit of a climb.

Breakfast and evening meals were very good, staff were attentive. Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced.

The hotel is very tired. Old carpet , broken lampshade on standard lamp,shower tap very difficult to turn on, tepid water and our room was vacuumed only once in 7 days ,excuse was " covid"🤔. But very welcoming people.

The breakfast was good but no choice of coffees .Location very central so perfect. Staff very friendly and very good food in the evening.

My daughter sat on step by the fireplace and when she stood up the jumper was destroyed. I asked the receptionist what was on the wood and she did not know! Nor did she get back to me. After trying everything, the sweatshirt had to be thrown out!!

The location was good for us. The hotel was quirky. Breakfast was very good.

The photograph of the exterior of the hotel that is used on Booking.com is very out of date and not reflective of the hotel's current exterior, which has not been cared for in some time. Had they advertised as it currently looks, I doubt anyone would book in there. It feels like an accommodation that is on its 'last legs'.

The breakfast was surprisingly very nice and reflective of the quality of cook the hotel is fortunate to have. The beds were comfortable and the room was adequately clean. The hotel, although sparcely staffed, have employed nice people.

Lack of staff resulted in waiting for simple things - breakfast took so long due to only 1 youngster working. Bar took ages to get served again due to low staffing levels

Just a bit dated. Very LOUD overnight from people singing and talking in the halls and outside until the wee morning hours.

I asked for a room on the ground floor as my wife has health issues and finds it hard to climb stairs, we were put on the 2nd floor which is the top floor and has no elevators. The room we had was roasting as the radiators in the bathroom were on full, the weather was really warm. I asked at reception could they turn off that radiator which they said they would but they didn't makingvthe room difficult to sleep in and the windows had to be left open. Our room was over a night club which we weren't aware of until about 2.30 in the morning when the night club closed and the outdoor noise started for about 30 minutes. There was no tea making facilities in the room, we asked for a kettle etc which we eventually received.

The price was reasonable which is a bonus. The breakfast was a decent breakfast with plenty of choice.

The room was a little tired and pretty noisy. Bathroom door handle was pretty much falling off. The reception staff didn't give any kind of instructions about breakfast, check-out time or other services while checking in.

The rooms were basic. No drawers and an open wardrobe. The shower gels and shampoo were not located in the shower cubicle. No safety handles. Some power sockets did not work and they were poorly fitted. The corridor lights on the first floor were out and I had to use my phone torch to see the locks to our room.

On arrival informed late bar that night, and nightclub the following evening, when asked where was our room.. was told above the bar. Asked could we be moved, was told no. The noise was horrendous until late. Also during early hours of the morning, a lady entered our room..

It's location. A lady who was working on Easter suns at serving us breakfast arranged for us to move to a room on the 2nd floor, she arranged this with the cleaner and appreciated that we were moved for our 2nd night

We couldn't stay there it was so bad we had to book somewhere else the manager was supposed to ring me but he didn't The smell was terrible no lifts carpets all torn dirty smell the floors all broken and shaky furniture burnt with cigarettes

This place probably shouldn’t be open, especially not as a hotel. Broken floorboards, mouldy walls, full on leaks in the restaurant (2 puddles on the floor) It takes cheap and cheerful to a whole new level. We had to sleep in the single bed as the double was just springs with a mattress topper over. Shockingly poor.
