Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThis B&B is in an absolutely gorgeous location, with a stunning view. It's very close to Portmagee, Cahersiveen, and Valentia Island so perfect for exploring some of Kerry. The owners were so kind and helpful, and went out of their way to help us plan our trip while we were staying. Breakfast was also excellent, a great mix of delicious homemade options - would definitely recommend!

IrelandNot a negative for us but other travellers may not love that there isn't a door to the bathroom in your room as opposed to a curtain. For us this was fine and the shower is really great and powerful. Secondly the location is quite remote however this is clear when signing up and the house is lovely.
There is so much to love about this place! The house it's stunning, the view out is incredible, the hosts are genuinely passionate and caring about your stay and you making it a great one. The breakfast was delicious and you get to choose from 4 options each day! Parking is easy on site and the house is closely located to Portmagee for Skellig Michael or Valancia island. A big plus was that the room is lovely but they also give you a lounge room to play games or read a book. So thoughtful!

United StatesNeed Booking.com to add the GPS coordinates or you'll end up at the wrong location. Fortunately, I happened to check my email and the host sent this information.
The hosts had great communication with us before the visit. They were at the door to meet us, tell us about the place and take us to our rooms. We then got a nice menu to make our breakfast requests. Next to the 2 rooms was another room to hang out in. It had games, books, etc. The bed was comfortable and I slept with and open window for the first time in many years. Breakfast was ready on time and we had a beautiful review of the Portmagee Channel. Our excursion to Skellig Michael was cancelled so the hosts recommended we drive the Skellig Ring. This was wonderful and saved the day for us since the purpose of the trip was to visit Skellig Michael. The Skellig Ring was tour was awesome.

This is the nicest B&B I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The views alone are outstanding and the hosts are both top notch friendly and eager to be of service.

United KingdomLovely spacious room with the most amazing view across the water. It was lovely to sit outside in the evening and eat a picnic using the picnic table. Pete and Maureen were great hosts. Pete offered excellent suggestions for what to visit and when including a map which was incredibly helpful. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious.

United StatesThe accommodations were spotless, the proprietors were kind and a pleasure to converse with. They provided a helpful annotated photocopy map of the Skellig ring and ring of Kerry with recommendations taking into account our time constraints. And, what a view for our delicious breakfasts! United StatesWow! Absolutely stunning view of the bay right from the bedroom window. Enjoyed watching the sunset from bed both nights! The hosts were incredible and made an absolutely wonderful breakfast. The beautiful view from the breakfast nook made breakfast even better! The host also prepared us a nice sack lunch (for a small fee). The house is only a few minutes from Portmagee (Skellig Michael tour) and several fantastic seafood places. Can't recommend enough!

Honestly Uisce Beatha House is hands down the most beautiful b&b I’ve ever experienced and I have travelled extensively! From the natural surroundings, location, interior decor, bedding, home made breakfasts / lunches and just how comfortable the hosts Maureen & Pete make you feel. So friendly and kind, with amazing recommendations and hand written maps of the surrounding area! I cannot fault them and cannot wait to visit again! Thank you both so much, you made our last two days on Kerry truly unforgettable x

AustriaIf there is anything to "upgrade" then this is a door to be added between the bath and the room. There is only a curtain which could be potentially disturbing.
An exceptional place, perfect location and a perfect view. The house is nicely renovated with a separate area for the guests. We had the room with sea-view which made the stay even better. Quiet place, close to Portmagee for our trip to Skellig. Clean rooms, hosts which helped with our questions (we even could get a charger for our Canon camera which we forgot at home - a one out of a million luck chance!! :-) ). Nice breakfast options in the dining area of the hosts - with view to the sea. I can only fully recomend.
