Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandOnly thing we didn't like is the hotel tried to charge us for drinks we didn't order when we were checking out and the hot tub was a bit too hot and couldn't be turned down as they said management had it set to locked, aside from that everything else was perfect I would definitely go back and would highly recommend for a couple looking for a nice quiet getaway in the Kildare countryside
The staff were very attentive, room was very clean with beautiful interiors they even left a note wishing us a happy anniversary and gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch, food was delicious although if you get the chicken ask for extra mash, very comfy bed, nice and quiet and very private overall

United KingdomThe theme for the hotel is horse rearing and racing and given it's proximity to world famous stables this is understandable but perhaps not everyone visiting is doing so for the purpose of going to the races. This is just a minor criticism however and most people will be more than comfortable to run with the theme if no more than for the novelty.
Very new and clean hotel with excellent design and decor. The grounds are in a very attractive situation, close to the motorway for access but set in parkland. Car parking was more than sufficient and free. And although we didn't eat dinner in the hotel the breakfast was good.

IrelandWe have no complaints at all but I think a good addition to the Spa deck would be a cold splash option like a waterfall shower- just an idea!
We were greeted with a complimentary drink on arrival. Noel was very welcoming & helpful. The venue is very modern and the rooms are gorgeous. The food was excellent, we had lunch & breakfast. We also booked the spa deck twice- so relaxing.

IrelandI didn't dislike anything but I'd like to bring 2 small things to your attention..... We felt we got the young barman into grief with his female colleague for getting us the scones and we were so sorry about that. When I apologised to him that evening he was super diplomatic and professional and denied anything had happened. Possibly he left his post too long etc but he's most professional ....He's a keeper !!! It might be an idea not to admonish staff in view of guests! We felt bad for him. I had noisy neighbours when I went to bed There were 4 on the balcony of the room next door which was annoying as it was well past bedtime. They disturbed one of my pals who was in the room below them too but they didn't stay outside too long..maybe 1am and I had a great sleep after that. It might be an idea to have a "quiet period" note on the door to the balcony after a certain time to remind people they are in a hotel!
From the minute I walked in the door I was relaxed. The lovely redhead in reception was so friendly to me. The glass of bubbly was a pleasant surprise too!! The room was spotless and I loved having a balcony and no bedrooms across the hall. I had a great laugh with the red-headed young bartender who was super efficient and provided us with drinks with great speed and went to the trouble of getting us some scones and teas to keep us going for the afternoon. Dinner was served by a witty waiter from Kildare by way of Latvia who was super efficient and attentive without being intrusive. The dinner was amazing - everything we had was super tasty and we were full up. Really lively presentation from great chefs. I had a beautiful night's sleep and a great hot shower. The coffee tea facilities and extra cookies and crisps were a nice touch as was the piece of cake 4 my 60th !! Breakfast was delicious too and I was sorry I wasn't staying a 2nd night. To be so close to the M7 and yet have such a quiet retreat was fantastic. I will deffo be back.

United KingdomNothing, the whole experience was how I would expected it.
The staff were exeptional and could not do enough to help you. they were very friendly and catered for all our needs. Sarah who checked us in also booked us a cab to the venue we were attending. Kiera who was front of house was very pleasant and gave getails of the area and golf. then the bar tender Brandon was chatty and adviced on different cocktails. The whole experiance was made so much better by these members of staff.
