Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBasic accommodation, but such nice touches, Bernadette provided fresh eggs from her chickens, bread , milk and butter on our arrival. Lovely big comfortable bed, and a lovely garden to sit in in the evening. Oh, and a lovely jug of wildflowers. Really nice.

IrelandMold in the bathroom, from window sill through shower and silicone seals to grouting. A chest of drawers would be nice to put clothes away instead of living off the suitcase.
Lovely owner and great location, peaceful and quiet. Well stock up kitchenette.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like, but some constructive suggestions would be: 1) a mirror opposite the gateway to help guests exit without dicing with death. 2) for my newly disabled husband, a chair in the bathroom, and a non-slip mat in the shower.
- The location is so remote and peaceful, but also close to sweet little villages and the dramatic Atlantic coast and the Hook lighthouse. - The welcome from Bernadette was warm and helpful, and she checked on us during our stay without being the least intrusive. -The accom'n is reached by its own entrance and has its own garden seating area. It's a bed- sitting- kitchen with a separate, spacious bathroom.. It is completely ground floor and on one level, which is great if you have mobility issues and has all the facilities you could want. Plus, the thrill of making t ea and toast 5 feet from your bed whilst watching the Olympics🤭. We really enjoyed our stay for the rest, peace, and quiet before our homeward journey.

United StatesGreat location and a clean, comfortable studio. The hosts were welcoming and provided top-notch hospitality. Enjoyed being greeted by Harley and felt safe knowing he was on the job, haha. The property itself is beautiful and smells wonderful due to all of the different plants. I could have stayed a lot longer and been perfectly happy.

United KingdomThe only small issue was the presence of several nesting crows who targeted my car with pinpoint accuracy! To be fair, it was peak nesting season and crows play a useful role in nature.
Really nice location with easy access to the coast and various attractions, including Hook lighthouse and several garden / arboretum type properties. The apartment has everything needed for holiday letting and the double bed was very comfortable. The owners were most friendly and welcoming and on hand to offer local advice about places to visit. As we had brought our two dogs with us it was also much appreciated that the owners have their own, very well behaved and affectionate dog! In the evening and during the night there wasn’t a sound to be heard apart from the distant roar of the sea. I suspect that locations nearer to the village might be somewhat noisier, especially in peak summer season.

IrelandAdvertised as "The entire place is yours", but it is not. The property is essentially 2 rooms in a house. There is a lack of privacy. And I could hear people talking and moving in the adjoining rooms. Toilet seat soaked and pubic hair on it. Heater is very noisy. The property is fairly chilly (in April anyway). The bathroom is especially cold, with no heating option, and no extractor fan, so the window needs to be opened to allow the steam from the shower to dissipate.
Supplied eggs, bread, butter, spices, washing up liquid.
