Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe breakfast could have better selection, coffee served in a pot opposed to from a machine, and just a better selection in general, now that’s me being fussy!
Staff so lovely, and provided us our room early as it was ready, as it was raining we really appreciated this.

IrelandTable number 6... The table is not in a row, it is the only table in the breakfast room on view from the door. I was offered it, and declined. Never offer a solo diner a table that just needed a big red arrow light above it, flashing. "Loner's table", table 4 was lovely, in a row of 5 tables, and I could view everything in the room.👍
Room with view, breakfast, pool, spa, love the town.

United KingdomI'm nit picking but maybe signage for the lifts on the second floor could have been a bit clearer. Also the pillows were a bit firm for me, but maybe that's just my preference.
We enjoyed our short stay in a bedroom with 2 single beds and a double bed. Great value for money and a fantastic large spacious room overlooking the sea front.

United KingdomOne niggle sorry. The air con didn’t work well and we had an uncomfortably warm night.
Fabulous welcome from reception staff who really went the extra mile asking about our stay and making sure we were given a packed breakfast to take away with us as we had a very early start. We really appreciated this. The room was spacious and clean with all expected amenities for a hotel of this calibre.

IrelandWhen I booked the room I thought I had a street view. However, we were give a room that looked out onto a 'yard' that had scaffolding supporting the fire escape. While I get this is necessary they could do a lot with this large space to make it attractive to look out at and less prison like.
Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and gluten free options. However there should be a menu on the table to let people know the other options which are not available in the buffet and need to be ordered at your table. We also ate in the bar and the food was lovely but limited choice. We had dinner in the restaurant but would not eat there again. Service was slow and food was luke warm at best, having waited a long time between courses. We did complain and got an apology but no offer to reduce cost or a good will gesture. The kitchen were under pressure as there were more people than expected. Staff apologised for delays but we cannot understand why the food was not piping hot given the wait between courses. We did not order dessert as the previous wait was too long.

IrelandWe used the leisure centre and asked the young girl at the desk if there were towels. She was a bit abrupt and said she wouldn't have any for 30minutes. We got out of the pool 45 mins later and there no still towels in the changing rooms, had to walk out in wet togs and get some, and we're handed towels the size of a bath mat! Definitely bring your own with you. Food in the bar was hit and miss, bruschette was lovely, super food salad was super bland, kids goujons and chips was good
Breakfast was good, decent selection of hot food and pastries, fruit, juice etc. we had dinner in the bar and the staff were amazing! Room was lovely, location was absolutely perfect

Location was great. The breakfast is not great. Not a great choice and shabby. The food area should look spotless and everything fresh. The service in the library bar was slow. It was under staffed and alot of the staff are very Young. I paid 458euros for 2 nights for myself a.d my 2 sons. The hotel was quiet and felt I should have had a meal included. I visited praque a few weeks previous and it cost me 490euro for 4 nights in a superb hotel including flights The standard of breakfast was 1st class. I hope you don't mind me being honest

IrelandThe bar service was very poor. With the exception of one young barman who was really trying his best, the service was extremely poor. The first night we were waiting so long to get some service that we gave up and went to our room. Not very acceptable in such a high calibre hotel. The second night again the service was poor ànd there was a queue waiting for service. We noticed that two different couples that we spoke to gave up waiting and left the hotel to go to one of the local pubs.
Lovely hotel and very comfortable. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor is fab and it is so close to the town centre.

United KingdomBreakfast was very busy even though staff did their best to clear and prepare tables. Cold options could have been better, perhaps cold meats, cheese on offer? Shower room was exceptionally small so not the most comfortable facility in double room (with additional single bed).
Great location, comfy room, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely to get a good swim in a decent sized pool.

IrelandEverything about my stay was wonderful. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself was lovely. One detail that stood out to me was the breakfast buffet—it included a dedicated gluten-free section. While I’m not gluten-intolerant myself and didn’t need it, I appreciated the thoughtful inclusion. It’s great to see the hotel making an effort to accommodate different dietary needs.

IrelandThe young girl behind desk in leisure centre very rude to two girls in our group unfortunately. Was all in relation to a towel. My friend ran back to reception to grab one off them and the reception lady apologised and was so nice. Just felt that girl lets the lovely reputation of the rest of the staff down.

United KingdomAlthough our room was clean, the shower would benefit from a deep clean. The lift door was marked with fingerprints throughout our stay. As hotel was fully booked, breakfast on one morning was pretty chaotic although the food itself was good.
