Everything was perfect for my stay.

Greeted with a genuinely warm welcome by staff. The lake view room was absolutely stunning. The personal touches were a delightful surprise. Already planning on returning to this magical place.

Room was a little on the small side. Felt a little like an obstacle course trying to get from far side of bed to bathroom as table and chairs were taking up a lot of room and getting in the way. Outdoor hot tub was great but in full view of guests in their rooms/eating in the restaurant.

Beautiful location and staff were excellent. Room was nice with lovely view.

Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

One of our favourite hotels in the world. Chilled athmosphere from the second you arrive, a complimentary glass of bubbles helps. Outdoor area is amazing. Do the hot tubs! Food was excellent and room was so spacious and cosy.

Only minor downside was that we were given a family room with three beds in so although large with a great shower did not have the same feel as our friends in the next door room.

The only thing we didn’t like was that is impossible to take a walk because the roads are too small to get to the property. We felt a little scared because cars would whiz by you.

We could not have had a better time. Definitely try the salt water infinity pool.

Bathroom wasn’t very clean, robes seemed like they’d shrunk from being washed so often.

Beautiful location and the balcony in the room was lovely. Food was amazing and wonderful staff. Little attention to details and treats were lovely. Loved the Voya products.

I would like more time in infinity pool

Loved the suite, balcony and view. Spa and food very good. Generous with the prosecco at the bubble pool and infinity pool. Very helpful attentive staff and a beautiful cat!

Apart from a small confusion over whether we could leave our bags early are only other issue was with the spa. We had emailed to request a spa for each couple staying at the same time so that we could enjoy the area to ourselves. We ended up with the four of us in the one spa and another four people in the spa next to us. It was ok. The spa attendant did his best to make it fun but it wasn’t the experience that we expected.

Bren the assistant manager was amazing. He stepped in when we first arrived early to drop in our bags and sorted a miss communication with the front office for us straight away. He changed our first impression around completely and went out of his way to make our stay feel welcoming and personal. Bar staff were also fabulous. Effortlessly efficient and very friendly.

We could only stay one night which we weee sad about. The shower head needs to be a big bigger.

It is simply beautiful here. The staff Bren on reception with Lek they were amazing. Looked after us very well. The view from our room over the Lough Ree is stunning especially at sunset. The bed is extremely comfortable, heaps of space and the bathroom floor is heated. We had a hot tub spa with sparkling wine looking over the lough and that was fun. Even having a dip in the cold water of the lough was great, reward after was the hot sauna. Well worth it. We had dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Would recommend the Seafood Chowder and the duck. The town of Athlone is only a 5 minute drive away and is home to the Oldest Pub in Ireland.

The fact the use of the pool/hot tubs requires additional payments. While very enjoyable, it makes for a very expensive stay.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room had a beautiful lake view and super comfortable bed. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast. We had a really enjoyable time in the hot tubs and infinity pool.

Amazing service and facilities! We booked in for a special occasion and were made feel very special throughout our stay. Lunch in the bar was gorgeous. We then went out to the sauna and hot tub looking out on the lake and were given several glasses of Prosecco, we were looked after so well by Andrew here. We had a gorgeous main course and dessert for dinner in the restaurant, the lemon chicken was spectacular! I was very grateful to the staff for again making our celebration special with a huge sparkler in my partners dessert and a balloon display on the table. We booked treatments in the spa for the following morning which was also lovely. Overall it was an amazing stay, the staff were so attentive and welcoming! We will definitely return!
