Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceAesthetically, with circuitry half-attached to wall, both outside and inside, not a good look and does not inspire confidence. Depending upon whom you know to be your clientele, the TV (for example), may be overkill. Having both the lights (reading ones, in particular), and outlets for charging, seem the most important (and charging was slow, to slower, I think). “Push” hooks, for hanging, bungees (that’s just me🤷♂️)… some shelves in the recessed areas (like in a refrigerator door, with short “walls” to prevent falling) for handy, common use stuff, occur to me… I did not use the space long enough to become better acquainted, but I like the concept… a lot!
Location. Location. Location. For a solo traveler, great idea! Great concept, in my opinion. Showers, pretty damn good (again, for old, solo, dude)! As long as one understands what they are getting, I like it.

IsraelSome of the facilities are broken and doesn't seem like they'll be fixed any time soon. I've had 4 nights and was given the top bed for some reason even if the bottom was available for 3 of those first nights and I was told there aren't any available ones to switch. There's also the issue of the noise, if it's the AC that is very loud, the music nearby that plays each night till like 2am and there was someone that waited to rearrange all of his things specifically in the late hours, even though he was there long before and not doing anything, till I've asked him to be more quiet at least (after 1am) because I just didn't believe it will take that long. While the covers around the bed also don't offer much privacy and somewhat transparent. The door to the room is always open a bit so if someone smokes outside the smell also reaches the room.
Well it's the lowest price in Jerusalem and in a central area, while at least for the regular bunk beds you have a big locker for your things with a key they provide. The showers have hot water till the late hours, but there was a problem with the drain in one of them so it floods the floor for few minutes so you have to be careful not to leave anything on the floor when there aren't any benches/cupboards inside. They also provide a towel, though what I got was a bit torn...

United StatesThe usb phone charger did not work properly, I was unable to fully charge my phone during the night and my phone died on me the next day as I was exploring Jerusalem Old City. I was unable to take pictures.
As a traveler on a budget, I like the concept of capsule hotels, as opposed to old fashioned hostels with bunk beds: for virtually the same price they offer much more privacy inside the capsule than a bed in an ordinary dorm.

IsraelThe main issue is the security, I won't elaborate here but you shouldn't leave anything valuable while you're away from there. There was some alarm during some of the nights and it was going for some time, I guess it's because of how the capsule area door works. In my capsule the tv wasn't working (not that I cared personally), but the thing that bothered me was that you couldn't lock it.
Taking into account that currently it is the cheapest accommodation in Jerusalem (through Booking), it could be worse. The shared bathroom space is pretty clean, there are tables and chairs both outside and inside, though the doors seem to be open at all times, unless someone decides to close the capsules' area door, while the capsules matresses are also comfortable. So for people who just wish to rest before continuing their business it does the job well
