How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing we didn’t like. Suggestions would be hooks and maybe a little bench under the sink in the bathroom. All else was great.

As always, the rooms here are small. Some of the rooms have the bathroom VERY close to the bed, and the bathrooms have translucent glass doors. I have told the new management to change the doors.
5th time staying here, first time under the new management. New changes are great. bathrobes, better amenities in the bathroom. More responsive to Whatsapp. Very lovely housekeeper. In case you are un-aware,, this is a mobile check-in hotel. You receive a code to the front door and to your room. There is no front office. Hotel is Shabbat friendly.

If you are expecting the facilities of a 5 star hotel then you should check in at the neighbouring Waldorf Astoria . If you are looking for a clean convenient and comfortable place at a fraction of the neighbouring hotels ( a third of the price ) this is the place for you

We liked everything!!!!
The suite, the accomodation, the care for the guests which was beyond expectation, the kindness of the staff, its helpfulness beyond what could be expected. It was a real pleasure to stay there. We already spread the word to others who now consider booking. We shall return.

Excellent location, easy access to both the old city & greater Jerusalem. Lots of dining options around etc. staff are friendly & very helpful especially Joseph who went above & beyond, from landing to checking out.

Maybe larger signs so we could spot the hotel easier.
The big plus this hotel has is its location. Right on top of the Mamila mall with the Jaffa Gate a short walk away. That was our reason for booking this hotel and it was perfect.

Be aware of about two dozen steps to get to the elevator and another dozen after you come out of it. If you are staying in a room facing Mamilla Mall - all day and night, you can hear the street bellow - noisy with emergency vehicles, beeping cars, loud ppl.
Mamilla View Urban (MAZ) has great service, great location close to Jerusalem old city / Yafa gate; great people - everything provided even drinking water bottles each day and if you need something, they will find that too (example - asked for plastic spoons, forks; someone else needed green tea)

Shower was too small for big people. But hot water was great so no real complaints. Parking was in Mamilla ($15 a day) - 5 minute walk.
Location - outstanding. Right near Mamilla, right above a 24 hour store. Amazing. Room was small-ish - but for some reason did not feel cramped. Bathroom shower tiny - but workable. Nice shampoos and soaps! Heat great, clean, kitchen 24/7 coffee. Great value.

It was a bit difficult going up the stairs with a suitcase = and also a few stairs to the floor with my room. It was a bit difficult to enter the code there was not enough light to see the numbers and this has to be taken into account when you dont see that well!!

We were a little disappointed with the lack of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. We also would have appreciated some bigger towels.
I liked the location and how easy it was to check in to our room. The room was simple, but perfect for what we needed it for. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Additionally, we were very impressed by the abundant toilet paper provided.

Lack of towels for long stay. Only four towels were given for 8 nights.
Location was perfect for touring Jerusalem.
