Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI was there for four nights and didn't have any issues at all.
My room was fine. It was clean, quiet, and had all the basics. Here is more of what you can expect: There is a coffee maker in your room, a larger one in the small reception area, and you have WIFI, but you have to ask for anything else you need (more hangers, a hair drier, iron, etc., and then they are provided). The location is very good. You can find just about everything you might wish for within walking distance, including restaurants, shopping, pharmacies, and some sightseeing. The hotel is in the Jewish section of Jerusalem, and the entry gate and door to the small building where you are staying are left unlocked from Friday night to Saturday night (Shabbat), but you can still lock the door to your own room and open it with your magnetic key. I had a restful stay at De Cardo Boutique and would definitely go back there again.

HungaryThere was a smell of mold in the bathroom which also infiltrated into the room. It is in an old residential building, the bottom floor of which was turned into this hotel.
The location is great.

United StatesNot very well mantained, shower is smaller than the cruise ship shower. Toilet was detached from the floor, however everything was functional and livable. Will be happy to stay there again.
Location is great. Walking distance to main attractions. Clean. Coffee available 24/7 Small fridge and coffee in the room. Hot water 24/7 Eseel was especially helpful. For the money you pay it's a steal.

United Statesprevious guest left their towel on the bathroom door and housekeeping missed it. Also, the room had a nespresso machine but no capsules which was a bummer. Lastly, despite checking the entire room several times, I could not find the light switch to turn on the lights by the mirror so that part of the room was dark
Price was right. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. A/C worked very well. I checked in late. My room key was left in an envelope on the front desk. Keep in mind that this is a no frills hotel. So, no lobby, no closet or safe in the room. There was a mini fridge so nice touch there

RomaniaThe staff!!! No answer to emails and messages! The check in time is 15-23 but impossible to enter before 15.30. There are no visible signs with the entrance and no answer to the phone. They hardly speak English and Hebrew. Speaks Arabic perfectly instead. The room has minimal design and the armor is mostly for decoration.
Location is great, very close to Mamila Mall and to Jafa Gate. Also Mahane Yehuda is 20 minute walking. It is possible to reach the main station by foot in reasonable time. The room is pretty clean, and the bed is also comfy. The area is quite.

BelgiumThe rooms are a bit noisy for sounds from outside or in the hallway. I was carrying earplugs, so it wasn't an issue when I was sleeping, but it might be for people who aren't expecting this.
The hotel is located really well, right near an area with a lot of good places for food and coffee, and also right near the Old Town, so you can easily explore a lot of Jerusalem from here. The host was super friendly and accomodating, and the room was a cosy place. The bed was super comfortable, which was much needed for me, as I arrived very tired at the hotel, so I could immediately enjoy the comfort of the bed and the room.

IsraelWhen we first got to the hotel, we were a bit put off by the reception desk which looks a bit like a DIY counter from Ikea on the side of the corridor entrance and there is no hotel lounge or any other kind of hotel services so take into account that when you book a room here it is literally that, a room. Although there was a coffee machine in the room, we had to request capsules, and then they only brought us two.
Very comfortable room, loads of hot water and the hotel is in a great location. The staff were very helpful when we asked about things to do. Coffee machine in the room.
