How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Renovations were ongoing so all facilities were closed. This info was not shared on bookings.com was only informed 1 day before check in. Breakfast very disappointing.

Verified reviewOne of the worst experiences I have ever had. The room was terrible dirty, The hotel is going on a massive renovations, everywhere I had dust, noise, just filthy. Even common area was full of dust and works debris. The ironing room looked like after a massive bomb hit it. I couldn't sleep untill midnight because of noise coming from a band who played just above my head. At 6:00AM I already woke up due to terrible noise of people doing renovations. During BF there was no coffee and the food quality was a shame. Very poor. Last time I will visit there.

Nevertheless, we are making every effort to ensure that the renovation work is not noticeable within the hotel and public areas, in order to provide our guests with the most pleasant stay possible. Regarding the noise you mentioned, the hotel has a restaurant located on the 12th floor, where an event indeed took place on that day. However, the music was completely turned off at 11:00 PM, in accordance with our guidelines. We would like to remind you that our front desk team is always available for any inquiries or requests, and they are happy to provide immediate assistance as needed. With regard to the coffee machine, we regret that it was not operational that morning. However, our staff members were available to assist, and guests could have been provided with coffee from another service area located in the hotel lobby. No food or beverage service

Regarding our food and beverage services – the hotel is currently undergoing renovations and upgrades, and as a result, the dairy restaurant in the lobby is temporarily closed. The main dining room is operating in a limited capacity and will resume full service on Thursday. Additionally, we are pleased to offer the "Skyline" chef restaurant, located on the 12th floor, which is open on weekdays from 18:00. The property was clean, but the facilities were sort of damaged. The lamps in the room didn't work/ was not able to light them. The bathroom does not enough plugs to use for shaver or hair drier. The carpet floor had holes in them. One of the lamps was broken (no reason to keep it in the room if broken) The bed mattress was not comfortable at all.

The worst experience that I had in a hotel in years! First - I arrived after midnight and it took me about 10 minutes to find the night guard who was on his night tour. Then it took him about 10 minutes to wake up the reception guy, and then it took the reception guy about half an hour to find my reservation in the system. So I went to sleep close to 2 AM, intending to sleep till 10 and arrive at breakfast at the last minute possible. However, 7:30 sharp I woke up to a noise of construction workers, and could not sleep anymore. The construction noises were there all day so my plans to work from my room for a couple of hours in the morning were spoiled. When they say that the outside pool and the spa are closed for renovations, they did not mention that the whole hotel is under construction. My room was supposed to have a balcony, but the balcony was locked due to the reconstructions. I am lucky that I quit smoking. If I was still a smoker - I would need to go 3 floors downstairs to smoke. The breakfast was under the usual Israeli standard. The orange juice was rotten, and the waiters there were not nice - they were talking loudly to each other and did not offer any help. The room was rather clean, but it is obvious that the carpets are like 20 years old, have a lot of spots that are impossible to clean. The shower was not comfortable - the shower itself was hung too low, so I had to take a shower in a strange bending position. There was no toilet brush in the toilet. There was no option to enable "Do not disturb" mode. So as the housekeeping came when I was in the room, she knocked on the door for about 3 minutes till I opened it just to send her to hell because I was still trying to work. There was no free parking for hotel guests. I parked my car for 2 days on blue/white parking area and paid additional 150 NIS for the parking. My overall advice - find another place to stay. At least until the constructions are finished.
