Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainI am the Spanish girl, Lidia, who visited Jerusalem for Holy Week to see everything related to Christianity (Holy Sepulchre, Place of Ascension in the Mount of Olives, Pater Noster Church, Christ's Prison, Stations of the Cross, etc) and also the Jewish neighborhood with things like the Ark of Covenant, King David's Tower, Kotel, etc. The owner was a very kind Jewish man who treated me very well knowing that I am a Christian. It was a pleasure to share experiences with lovely Jews who helped me in different circumstances in Jerusalem!! About the hotel, I got a good room with a little fridge, comfortable bed and a big bathroom. It was also clean. I will repeat in the future for sure and I send greetings to the owner of the hotel!! Thanks for everything, Lidia

AustriaBe aware that there’s no elevator, so you need to be fit enough to carry your luggage up the stairs. Most importantly: there's a large construction site directly across the street right now: April 2025. We would have appreciated a heads-up about this. If you're unlucky, construction noise can start as early as 7:00 AM. Three buildings are being heavily renovated, and as long as that work continues, I’d recommend avoiding rooms on that side of the hotel.
The room was clean, but as mentioned in other reviews, really very small. The bed was a French-style double bed, so quite tight for two people. We were lucky to have booked the room with a balcony — that really helped make the stay more enjoyable. Just keep in mind there's hardly any space to open two suitcases at once, either you move them under the bed. The bathroom has the basics, but there isn’t much room for toiletries. There is a small fridge in the room, but no water kettle. However, there is a shared kitchen on the first floor that guests can use, which is a nice touch. The host truly went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and make us happy.

PhilippinesThe size of the room is a bit small.
The place is just next to shops, restaurants and markets. Also near the tram stations. The Old city can be reached by walking or taking the tram. The host was available even when I arrived late at night.

The proprietor went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable even though we arrived late in the evening.. We were able to leave our bags in the office after checkout. The room was immaculate and the building as charming as the owner. It's two minute walk from the light rail and numerous eateries. The Old City is a 10minute walk.

United StatesGiven my late arrival and early departure, I only got spend about 6 hours in the hotel.
Somehow I reserved a smoking room by mistake, but the hotel quickly honored my email request to move to a non-smoking room. My flights were also cancelled, forcing me to miss a day off my trip. Again email to the hotel to make sure they kept my room worked perfectly. I also had an early morning check out so that I could do a tour and the hotel staff stored my bag for me until my return. Location was right off Jaffa Street and only 10 minutes walk to the New Gate of the old city.

Nice hotel in the heart of Jerusalem with easy access to sights, restaurants and shops. The room was clean, easy check-in, Nathan (the owner) was very lovely and welcoming. Since my friend was sick, Nathan extended our check-out time without hesitation. Thank you, again, Nathan for this and helping us get to the train station! I would def stay there again.

United KingdomNothing much really not to like. Does very much what it says "on the tin" - nothing fancy but location is perfect and value for money is excellent.
Basic and small room but clean with an en suite shower and toilet, TV, Aircon and a balcony. No food but loads of places very near including Machneh Yehuda. Close enough to hear the entertainment from Kikar Zion at the end of Ben Yehuda but good enough double glazing to almost completely block it out.
