Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery small bathroom, but was not a problem for us.
The flat is close to the airport, it's fairly quiet. It is perfect for the night before the early flight, it suits our needs completely. Easy and problem free check in and check out using the locker box. Comfortable beds. Nice communication with the host. Would highly recommend if you need a stay in close proximity of the airport.

United StatesI encountered two challenges during my stay: 1. Getting a taxi to the airport was not easy. I was unable to download the recommended taxi apps and didn't have any cash. After searching online for various taxi numbers, I finally found one that accepted USD. 2. This accommodation is not technically an "airport hotel." It is a private apartment located in the town of Lod, which is about a 15-minute drive from the airport.
The cleanliness of the room. The room was spacious. Although I have not met the owner, he was very on top to respond to every text.

AustraliaAll good, nothing not to like
Great place close to the airport. We stayed 1 night. There is a bit of traffic noise but nothing to worry about. There are stairs but that is clearly stated in the advertisement. As other reviews state the bathroom is a bit average however I suggest that if you are concerned about cosmetics pay some more money and stay in a hotel. Its a great place for the money you pay. Great kitchen if you want to cook.

IsraelLacks cosmetic repairs. I had to lift my suitcase to the top floor, up the stairs. There is no elevator in the building. The bathroom is quite small.
Free check-in and check-out, no need to wait, look for anyone. Got detailed information with photos how to get there. Parking nearby. Liked the washer and dryer. In rainy weather, as now, without a dryer you can’t wash quickly. Spacious bedroom, good mattress, fresh linen. Excellent Internet, logged in on a smartbox and watched YouTube from the TV screen. Air conditioners work quietly, the apartment is warm and there are no unpleasant odors. Supercenter nearby, there are shops open on Shabbat. In the old town, 3 minutes by car, Arabic bakeries and shawarma. The kitchen has an oven, there are forms for heating. For one or two people the apartment is quite spacious. For the money that I paid, definitely a decent apartment.

United StatesThe room description didn't mention it is on the 4th floor with no elevator. I'm 70 years old and that is a lot of steps to carry a suitcase. Basically I think many of the ads for rooms are dishonest. They only disclose the best highlights.

RussiaThe apartment is a rebuilt studio at the rooftop. No elevator, so you have to climb with your baggage at 5th floor. Basically 2 rooms are extended to the outer terrace with a carton walls and ceiling. Very hot so have to have AC always on. Also every sound from outside can be perfectly heard including doves on the roof and garbage machine in the morning around the neighborhood. Thus if you plan to stay closer to the airport to have more time to sleep you can be disappointed as it's really hard to sleep here.
Very kind host provided all required information and let us stay for a bit longer. Location by the airport has it's pros and cons as you hear every landing/departure all the time. The apartment itself is quite clean yet requires some remastering especially the bathroom. I was positively impressed by the ability to use washing and drying machines. In general all the appliances are available.

IsraelIt’s on the 4th floor with no elevator. This was no problem for me, but it could be for some people.
It was spacious, and the kitchen included all the necessary items. It had 3 rooms, each with its own A/C unit. It had a large refrigerator with a bag of ice in it. A fully stocked supermarket is only a couple of blocks away. Parking was very easy and convenient.

HungaryOnly one room, the other is part of living room, no door to living room. The bedsheet is simply terrible. A kind of textile-plastic material giving terrible noise whenever you make a move. Bath is under expectation: small (difficult to turn under shower), not well maintained, shower together with toilet, only a sliding door not giving enough intimacy.
