Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWe shared the room with a lot of cockroaches and Moskitos. The room and it's equipment weren't clean and there were killed Moskitos on the bedsheets, which made us think that the sheet wasn't new either. The room was noisy too. The place was quite difficult to find due its location in some kind of backyard and between construction sites. The place wasn't valued the high price we paid.
Free private parking, kind staff und interesting interior.

New ZealandThere were three loud parties held right next door in three of the five nights I stayed there. I was kept awake until 3am the first night. The other two nights were not so loud but the noise came into the lodgings at 2 or 3 am and continued for some time until on the second of those nights I complained. No instructions were given about the shower. By fiddling around the first time I turned on the lights and I think in retrospect this is what activates the hot water. After putting up with the coloured lights in the shower for a couple of nights I figured out how to turn off the lights but then had cold showers for the following two days.
The staff were helpful. I didn’t mention this to the owner but the ducting for the aircon seemed to go through the next door toilet with consequent smells.

Israel"My experience at [Hotel Name] was quite disappointing. The room wasn't clean, there was a lot of noise, frequent door disturbances, and a general lack of organization. There is no organized parking Cars also blocked me in the morning when I was rushing to work I hope these issues are addressed promptly for the sake of future guests."

United StatesAccess to the "Hotel" requires a round-the-block" trek because the steer has a barricade half way. We had to find directions on our own because the manager on the phone was no help. The place is located down an alley behind an industrial warehouse that shares the road and parking with trucks, forklifts, and workers. Upon checking in the manager could not take the time to put down his phone to properly check us in. Empty shampoo bottles on the floor of the shower and cigarette buts in the soap dish. Located on a warehouse with no windows, just a door. old furniture with broken bits. We stayed because we had no other choice, We slept in our clothes and never unpacked. We left in the morning with noone available to check us out or record our complaints. The "HOTEL" is a scam.
There was very little to like about this property. It is not a hotel, it is a scam. Located in an industrial warehouse with forklifts driving about. AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COSTS.

Sri LankaThe staff - didn't know a word of English so we could not communicate with them at all. Just once we had another customer who helped us translate. Then the front desk was always unmanned and so we could not ask for soap as there was no soap in the room. We washed our faces with shampoo. When toilet paper ran out, front desk had no one for us to ask. The rooms reserved for us were not clean so we changed our rooms to smaller ones but a little better. Basically this was a nightmare to us. At nights there were loud noises by people. Once my wife had to go out and ask them to be quiet at 1.00am.
From the time we entered, we were disappointed by one after another issue. So basically there was nothing that we liked.

RomaniaThe rooms were not as in the pictures, the location was really hidden and hard to find. The cleaning wasn't as it was supossed to be. There were a lot of parties in the locstion and we couldn't have a normal rest. Actually, for me, was a place were the boys take the girls to "have fun". In the early morning were fightings, i heard sounds like : "don't hit him!!" I don't recommend this place for anybody!!!!

United StatesThis is a small very comfortable hotel with several rooms, each of which has a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, coffee machine, TV, air conditioning, shower with Jacuzzi bath and excellent Wi-Fi. In the fenced garden there is a small swimming pool. At 5-minute walk from here is the cultural and commercial "downtown" of this district with restaurants, shops, etc. The hotel staff are very energetic, very friendly and very young people who only a couple of months ago took over the management of this hotel. And improvements are already visible in comparison with previous reviews... The hotel is very clean, linen is changed daily. Tea, sugar, coffee (ground, instant and capsules), cutlery and dishes are available free on the common table - you can eat in the room. Convenient that there is a new large food store of the famous Yohannoff chain nearby, just 200 meters from here. You can buy there fresh bakery for breakfast in the morning, and later, around noon - salads, snacks and restaurant-quality hot dishes at very reasonable prices. Buses of 5 routes stop right there, on which you can with complete comfort get to either Old City, or Jerusalem Central (for a transfer to Dead Sea) in 20-25 minutes. At 10-minute walk from here there is the stop of the few Arab buses, therefore you are not out of touch with civilization on Shabbat. Great base for a budget sightseeing tour of Jerusalem.
