How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Amirin is beautifully situated on a mountaintop, but the room we were given lacked any view, which was disappointing. We didn't specify that we wanted a view, so that's on us; but I imagine most visitors, like us, would expect one in that setting. Nice place but be careful of the room you choose or are assigned.

The place had beautiful views and felt pretty clean, but overall it didn’t meet our expectations. It felt outdated and poorly maintained, and we didn’t feel it was worth the price. On top of that, dealing with the host about the VAT payment was frustrating and left a bad impression.
The couple came for one night to a cabin facing the Sea of Galilee, with a large jacuzzi facing the lake, planty of hot water, 2 TV systems, a home theater, 2 air conditioners, and a fully equipped kitchenette - everything worked prtfedt . They paid 165 dollars. They registered with a non-Israeli address, so the amount did not include VAT. It was clarified to them that only tourists are exempt from VAT. They asked in advance how much the VAT would be and received an immediate response. Collecting the VAT took two days because they were constantly busy. We don’t set the VAT policy. It’s not OK they didn’t pay right away and had to be reminded several times. When they arrived, they wrote that the place was lovely.

Cleanliness neglected Many bugs, We all get bitten by insects The jacuzzi was dirty and the weak current in the shower.... disappointing
Sorry to hear it. Our maintenance man is always avaliable. But we need to know about problems during the stay and not afterwards. The guest did send pictures of spider net outside in the attached patio - we recommended to seat in the nearby view yard. We didn't hear about the Jacuzzi & the shower during the stay - these issues could have been solved right away. Guests in near cabins enjoyed their stay and did not mentioned any bugs problems. The message we received when the guests who wrote the review - arrived, was "What an amazing place!". We work very hard to provide the best experience and are very happy our guests appreciate that.

Our room was missing toothbrushes and clean towels Its like we have to do and bring everything on our own. One night costs about 1000 shekels so wouldn’t it be logical to find at least toothbrushes?

We provide many items - shower jel, shampoo, conditioner, tissues, towels, paper towel, bathrobe, many types of tea & coffee including espresso caps, free use of our large DVD library, dried fruits plate &granola bars. Ofek room is a large very private room on the cliff with a great view to the lake and the mountains. It has a very large jacuzzi, a wet sauna, a professional home theater system, 5 large windows with electric shutters, air condition, well fully equipped kitchenette and high speed internet. The copule paid for 1 weekend night 913 NIS.

The seater in the shower was switching from freezing to warm it was awful. The bed was really uncomfortable and the room didn’t seem very clean. The place is outdated and needs some upkeep.
Thank you for your feedback. There are specific instructions for the shower - There is an unlimited hot water supply, but we emphasize to keep the water running. The mattress is high rated and most of our guests enjoy it very much. We are happy that the jacuzzi, the wet sauna, the home theater system, the well equipped kitchenette, the air condition system, the electric shutters, the fast internet - everything worked very well. The guests left the room in a very unclean & messy situation.
