A different experience than what we are used to. Good and free wifi.

Although we had booked a room with breakfast, upon arrival at the dining room, it wasn't ready, and we had to arrange it ourselves. However, we couldn't find any milk. Eventually, we decided to have breakfast somewhere else. The room was OK and the bed was big and comfy, but there was a leak in the toilet, and the shower was very narrow, so we needed to make adjustments.

Breakfast was abundant. Chapel is prayerful, from the most ancient Christian tradition.

The staff were excellent.

They sprayed the rooms with an overpowering floral-smelling deodorizer. This gave me a sore throat and a headache, especially since it was all over the bed linens. Please do not spray any deodorizers into any room. Just clean them and keep them clean. Most "air fresheners" are toxic. Some people are very sensitive to them, I am not so if it made me feel awful you know it was way over-done.

The location is the best if u wanna be near the old city , loved it ❤️

The location in East Jerusalem was great. Quiet neighborhood and this meant a good night's sleep. The staff members were helpful and considerate. The breakfast was a wonderful selection to choose from.

Mediterranean breakfast was filling and satisfying. the rooms were cleaned daily. for the money it is great value and very affordable. It is a residence attached to the Chapel of St. Thomas, where I daily visited. they make anyone welcome and Catholics in particular would like the images and statues around the building. You can get a cold beer at half the restaurant price up until midnight and nearby is the Olive Restaurant that serves meals even on the Sabbath at very reasonable prices and insist on the menu listed price to get the best price. That saved a lot of time and money.. If you do not insist on the menu price,, they add 30% for some reason. Across the road is St. Stephen's church where they have Mass daily. The church is wonderful. Mass the is not to be missed, even if it is in French. 300 metres down the road is the Damascus Gate, entry to the Old City. From there everything in the Old City is walkable, and I am 74 years young. the air conditioning was great and very quiet. At breakfast I got to meet various people and made friends. Saving the best to last, ALL the staff are wonderful and friendly and do all they can to make your stay comfortable. Nothing was a problem for the staff. No other place had that Syrian Church. . I asked for a refrigerator in my room and they responded immediately assuring me there is one. If not, ask for it because you need it to keep drinks and ingredients to make lunches. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Around the corner shops sell snacks and drinks and the first automatic teller has cheap fees. It is not far to the train station and the train is one straight line that takes you to many places including the city center. People on the front desk happily helps with bus queries. It was far beyond expectations for the price and location. I cannot think of anywhere else to stay.

There are minor comments like everything is not new and pristine, but so what? Do you want to pay much more for minor cosmetics? I did not.

Location is great - just a short walk to Damascus gate, and then straight to the Holy Sepulchre. Breakfast is included and is good. Guesthouse is internally connected to a beautiful St. Thomas Catholic church. The narrow cul-de-sac leading to the guesthouse sometimes is not very easy to find for the taxi drivers, so be ready to show the way on the map in case driver needs it.

Very nice welcoming on a Sunday at mass time. Bedroom is very clean. The breakfast is amazing. The sens of community as everyone come and talks to you.

The personnel or volonteers did not speak English at the time of my stay but even this is ok as everyone is so lovely. The place is hard to find as th3'

Cosy christian hotel near the damascus gate. In a few steps you are directly in the old city. Every morning you can eat a very delicious breakfast. We would like to be thankful and grateful specially with Katy, every morning she prepared with so much love the best arabic coffee. Thanks too Hiba for your warm welcome and generosity. Thanks to these beautiful persons , our journey in St Thomas guesthouse and Jerusalem was very special and we bring back home all this love and compassion. We highly recommend St Thomas Ghesthouse !
