My room was close to the parking so when some customers made some noise, it disturbed a bit, otherwise the place was very quiet a far from the noise pollution.

This place was really great, the rooms had generously spacious and decorated with the heritage style. The location of this place was also great (Sector 8) which is in the middle of the market center (Sector 17) and the lake. Staff was very kind and helpful. The owner allowed us to stay in our room few hours after the check-out time, which was really kind of him.

Me and my spouse (Kinshuk) along with our parents, had a truly wonderful experience staying at Anchorage 42, a lovely homestay nestled in the peaceful surroundings of Sector 8. The home is not only beautifully maintained but also exudes a calm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at ease. A special mention to our hosts, Dan and Nandita ji, who were exceptionally hospitable. Dan, a generous and warm soul, is also an amazing art connoisseur. He gave us a detailed tour of the place, sharing stories behind the unique artworks and thoughtful decor that adorn the home. His passion for art really adds character to the space. What made the stay even more memorable was Dan’s kindness and humility, though a person of great stature, he came personally to bid us goodbye. Both he and Nandita ji are incredibly humble and kind, creating an environment that feels more like visiting family than just booking accommodation. If you’re looking for a quiet, charming, and heartwarming stay in the city, Anchorage 42 is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Leafy and quiet area. The room was spacious and filled with little touches: a selection of teas, some coffee and water. There were biscuits as well! Ritika was very helpful and accommodating. We wished we could have stayed longer!

An amazing Homestay property with a nautical theme and wonderful art and ceramics. The room was the best we stayed in on our month long tour of India. The property was in a quiet upmarket district of Chandigarh and just a 20 minute walk from the Rock Garden. The breakfast was really good and prepared freshly for us. I really cannot recommend this property enough, if you are travelling to Chandigarh this is the place to stay, you will love it

This wonderful HomeStay is in a beautiful and walkable area. (We walked to the Rock Garden.) The entire experience was excellent - lovely staff, amazing decor and large and comfortable suite. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We asked for and received a mattress topper for the bed and it was so comfortable.

The check-in experience wasn't wonderful, the staff who greeted us only had a booking name in a WhatsApp message, and didn't speak any English. We were left wondering what to do to actually check in once the bags had been dropped off in the room. Once checked-in, staff were reasonably friendly and approachable, but we never felt particularly welcomed.

A large house, beautifully and quirkily decorated by the owners with a huge range of movie, tv memorobilia, as well as art from a life of travel. Clean, well decorated rooms with good A/C as well as cooling fans. Large bed, with a hard mattress (with optional bed topper to soften the experience). Lots of nice touches in the room to make it feel homely. It's in a green, leafy suburban part of Chandigarh, away from the noise and chaos of the wider city. It's well located for the city's famous Rock Garden, as well as other amenities. Breakfast is tasty, with some hot local options available, made to order. Plenty of choice, with bottled water freely available.

Anchorage42 location, staff hospitality, cleaness, facilities, and the house esthetics and maintenance, which itself is like a massion, is wonderful. All items are nicely placed and decorative . House owner is nice person All good excellent.
