I am from this place and so aware of the local cuisine and locations. Their homestay is genuine, one with authentic homemade, clean, and healthy cuisine. especially fresh catch of Fish. The rooms are big, AC, Wifi, clean batrooms and small terrace opposit your room. The owners are friendly, caring and kind. Seashoroe is just 5 minutes away. I was able to see the fishermen sorting the fish after catch. collected seasheels, walked the beach.

It truly offers a warm and welcoming experience. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel like part of their family. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making them perfect for a relaxing coastal getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the home-cooked food. Every meal was freshly prepared with love, using local ingredients and traditional recipes. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding — flavorful, authentic, and served hot. Even simple vegetarian dishes were packed with taste and felt just like home. The property is located in a peaceful area, just a short walk from the beach, making it ideal for morning strolls and sunset views. The hosts were always available for any assistance, including arranging transport and guiding us to local spots. The road in the homestay (from the main road) is underdeveloped which is muddy / sandy, if the road was developed with proper car parking within the property , the homestay would be outstanding. My sincere request to the owners, would definitely visit the place again

We share the thoughts of other guests who have posted their feedback for Acharekar's homestay. Absolute value for money! Pros 1. Rooms were comfortable and clean 2. Food was delicious 3. Mr Acharekar, the host himself was very warm and welcoming and also provided some suggestions regarding sightseeing and places to visit (unfortunately we visited at a time when some of the places and activities are closed during the monsoon) 4. Conveniently located. Less than 2 kms from Malvan ST depot and accessible to restaurants, shops, medical stores and market, especially the fish market. Highly recommended and planning to visit again whenever there's a chance anytime soon.

Location is very close to the beach. Room was clean and you get all facilities under one roof as the host has his own restaurant and water sports facilities. It was a fun stay for all of us.

Getting to the location can be tricky due to internet issues with Jio sim cards, but the host shall help you out in advance for ease of traveling

The place is quiet & peaceful nearby to the beach within the laps of nature, one can also spend time within the compound. The food is a bonus opting for this place, the food is home cooked by the ladies of the house it tastes authentic & worth trying when staying here. The host has 3 dogs for any of the dog lovers, the host was humble enough to sit with us & talk while we dine, letting us know about the history of the place & forts. Overall a good experience & worth recommending

The property is located just a min walk from Dandi beach. You can easily access water sports, Sindhudurga fort and near by location. The in-house food service is exceptional, it’s super tasty food. The rooms are clean, well maintained and all features like AC, watery geyser and TV working (with OTT) enabled for guests. The owner(Achrekar kaka) is very courteous and friendly, and really took good care of us. It’s super recommended

This was such a great find! The Acharekar family are so welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay here. The home is close to Dandi beach and the fish markets, close to Malvan Town and many other beaches. The room was really comfortable with a lovely rooftop area which is great for relaxing. Mrs Acharekar cooks THE BEST food! We ate here so many times and it just kept getting better! Amazing breakfasts, veg and fish thalis, the food is really incredible! Would definitely recommend :)

It was really nice and comfortable trip. Host Shankar is very polite and is always ready to serve you. He helps in creating an iternary and helps in water sports activity arrangements as well. Food is really delicious. Location is also good, just some steps away from beach. Surely visit this homestay for comfortable trip.

It was difficult to find but its quiet and remote location is part of the charm.

The guest rooms were very roomy and a well thought out design. There was mesh on windows and magnetic mess on doors to prevent mosquitoes. Outside dining sitting area had comfy settees and jost smoke sticks provided to deter mosquitoes while you relaxed. The owner even washed my cycle gear so I could go touring in comfort. Air conditioning was a bonus for me and turned on for 30min gives comfort for the rest of the night.

Lovely clean friendly homestay perfect for a short stay. Nice outside area and rooftop sun terrace. The host made us very welcome, sorted our laundry and cooked tasty egg burgi for breakfast. And a nice hot shower ! Highly recommended.

We four friends, all senior citizens, went on a road trip to coastal Karnataka from Mumbai in the last week of October 2023. Our first night halt was at Dandi beach, Malvan at Achrekar's home stay. Excellent hosts - Achrekar is a local with international exposure so he provides a lot of local information. Dandi beach is less than 100 meters away. The two rooms have a large independent veranda for relaxation. Mrs Achrekar is an excellent cook and Achrekar procures fresh fish from the local market. Provides free WiFi. Overall an excellent experience. For those interested, Achrekar also runs a scuba diving unit.
