Centrally located, staff very good

The staff were very nice and helpful.. though the infrastructure needs major improvements. The bathroom doors did not lock, faucets were not working as they should, tiles in the bedroom majorly faulty. Had to order out. Kitchen is not at all dependable. Breakfast is less than ordinary even though one has to order and pay for it

I could hear the front desk guys talk since my room was just adjacent. I think after 10, the sound should be adjusted to zero. Otherwise, they were quite helpful. Both Manas and Mr Laha ensured the smooth transition.

I hated the location. It is situated in a gated area that is used as a parking lot during the day. There are some dogs that live they that are harmless but bark a lot. From outside it is hard to tell it is actually a decent guest house.

I liked the staff, the rooms were nice for the price. The hot water worked and I did have the freedom to come and go as I please. The gate was locked after 11pm but I could always call the night staff member to open it up for me.

No food service or beyond extremely basic kitchen. You need to go out for Dinner. The area has restaurants within walking distance but after 8 road side shops closes and footpath is empty and dark. We had to take dinner early.

Wifi worked fine. Video calls through wifi were good.

The front entrance of the building is not welcoming.

The location for US Visa work at both the VFS and the Consulate is very ideal.

Outside look of the building is not so appealing. Location is confused with the Aster Hotel while taking Taxi.

We travelled for USA visa purposes so the location is very convenient.

The approach to the guesthouse is not so welcoming and is rather obscured. The building surroundings (lift/stairways) are not cleanly maintained. Housekeeping can improve a lot. They only provide breakfast. Though one can preorder meals from them, the choices are limited. .

The location is ideal if one has to come to Kolkata for US visa interviews or related work. The staff are kind and helpful

Very dirty approach road. Shabby premises. Lift making cranking sound. Facilities weren't up to expectations. Photos displayed on web are excellent. When you locate the property you are in dilemma what to do, whether to occupy or skip.

Only favourable was that it's near to US consulate.

The corridors are very narrow. It looked like a very old building. The lift was of some British era, haha! Nevertheless it's good for a one or two day stay, esp for visa.

The location was very close to the US Consulate, just a 10 min walk. My visa got approved! They provided an iron box for ironing my clothes before the interview.

The building in which this is located is quite dingy and smelly. The guest house is on the 2nd floor, and the lift wasn't working when I was there. While entering the place, one would be excused for thinking that this is a seedy place in a seedy old building. Thankfully, that's just the appearance, and not the substance. The bathroom could use repairs - the basin wasn't properly connected, water was leaking (though the staff fixed it), and I saw cockroaches in the bathroom. Importantly, they want to get the money from the guests through UPI, even though they mention credit cards. I tried paying by credit card on check in, and was told that the machine wasn't working. I requested them to get it sorted since I was there for 2 nights, and I could pay by CC on check out. This was still not done, and eventually I had to pay through UPI. I did not appreciate this attitude at all, and took away from what was otherwise a decent, functional stay.

The location and staff are the best parts of this guest house. Everyone has a ready smile, and is happy to help. They make a simple fresh breakfast and serve it in the room, and are happy to take care of problems. Room was spacious, clean, and had windows with direct sunlight, which was good. The bed was big, and WiFi worked well enough.

The surroundings of the property is worst. It is interior and the way to reach is full of garbage and slippery. Smells bad odour. The rate they changed is higher. They didn't give me the receipt. The lift is old and in bad condition.

The room was neatly maintained. The staff are polite and friendly.
