Comfortable to stay with family. Staffs are so co operative and provide all the facilities. I recommend those who wants to visit it's better to stay in Astoria Residency.

The hotel is in a good location near lot of PoIs. The rooms are medium size and comfortable and very well decorated. The room has lot of amenities and the staff were helpful.

Hotel should have a restaurant and the name is slightly misleading with chain of hotels Astoria Kodaikanal and Chennai. A very safe place to stay for family.

Small details like tissue paper, water dispenser etc and customer friendly staff, with updated local news.

Only thing which bothered us was the hot water supply. We faced issues with the heater the first day of our stay but then it was rectified and resolved by the staffs. But the restricted hot water supply only from 7 am to 11 am and 7 pm to 11 pm was difficult for us in a very cold weather. This could be improved by the hotel.

This stay was located at the centre of the town. So the tourist places were easily accessible from this place. The room was spacious and staffs were very kind. We had booked family suite for 3 days and the view from the room was really good.

Time management - check-in was at 1pm and they couldn't provide anything as per our requirement for 8am check-in. Check-out was 11am with no breathing space to ensure that everything is packed. I would appreciate it if they had a spare place to refresh and keep our luggage till the check-in time. Also, the cab service is very poor.

Due to 01 pm to 11 am check in and out time, we lost 12 hours stay because we could reach at midnight 1 am. Kindly adjust check in/check out time or adjust amount based on stay time.

My only issue with this place was that the bedding was smelly. I have sensitive nose and I could not sleep well due to that. My clothes smelled bad too after sleeping in that bed. I don't know if it was the blanket or the blanket cover but it smelled really bad. It was very late by the time we went to sleep and we were tired so I could not take it up with the staff but I wish they will read this and address that because I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again when I visit Ooty Our shower tub leaked so the washroom became a bit messy and dirty.

The family room was amazing. It was very clean, the window and the view from it was so refreshing. They had provided RO water dispenser inside the room, that was so thoughtful! The water pressure was good, hot water was available 7-11 in the morning and evening. The toiletry kit was very thoughtful too. We could have dinner in the room, they had plates, bowls, spoons, everything you can expect was there. There was a locker, extra blankets in the cupboard. There was a door partition too between the double bed area and single bed area so privacy was there too. There were two washrooms and the washrooms had hair dryer as well. The room and facilities were so well thought of. The staff was good and helpful, we did not have any issues here. The location was good as well, it was on the road but peaceful. There was ample parking available.

Couldn't get hot water which resulted for a lot of inconvenience to our plan.. problem not resolved even after multiple reminders to the reception staff.. as it was very cold and a hill station hot water is very essential and couldn't avoid mentioning this inconvenience.. need to plan on this for better performance.. restaurant was not available in the property and also had to get it by ourselves.. these two issues definitely should be rectified asap..
