No hot water. Little interaction with hosts. No sign - did not know where property was located.

Very difficult to find. Down a side street and has no sign at all to tell you that it is Bagol Guesthouse. We had to ask numerous cafes and shop owners if they knew it. Clothing shop place on Main Street nearby finally showed us which door it was.

Basic but clean and functional for a low price. Bright room with 3 windows. We just used the room as a base and a shower before boarding a late night train but napped on the bed and found it comfortable. Lovely family runs the home stay. They are very helpful and the young boys were especially lovely.

Feels more like Homestay than hotel. Has three generations of family living on the first three floors whilst the two rooms for guests are on the forth.. The young kids make a lot of noise.!! Also it is situated right on the main junction at the bottom of the hill that goes upto the Jagdish Temple and City Palace so constant traffic noise and beeping from 6am - 10pm. Owner told us no restaurant on site and to eat out so we did. Two days later the sister and gran said they could do us food and felt pressured into eating there. Unfortunately the food was not gteat so we had to try and sneak out daily past the family as to avoid the awkwardness of refusing their offers of more food. Had washing hanging up on roof when youngest boy spent two hours smashing up plant pots (right above our room - more noise) and spreading mud & soil everywhere. The grandad then proceeded to wash & sweep it all away but half of it ended up on our clean clothes.

Got free pick up from Station. Had small view of Lake Pichola from room and good views from rooftop terrace. Room OK size with comfortable bed. Bathroom good size too with hot water. Family really friendly and nice and owner very knowledgeable about local sightseeing attractions and can arrange tuk tuks/visits for you. Family also let us use washing line on roof.

We had a wonderful stay at Bagol palace! The family running the guesthouse is so welcoming — we immediately felt like home! The rooms are nice, cosy and clean and the rooftop terrace with its view on the lake is amazing!!! We had so nice talkes with the owners and their twelve year old son Harsh! And we enjoyed lunch — a home cooked Butter Masala with rice — on our second day. You for sure gonna love this place!

Nothing, we loved everything!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this homestay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by the hosts. The atmosphere in the homestay is amazing, and we felt like a part of the family. It is not a luxurious place, but it is just what you need if you want to have a real Indian experience. Everyone in the family was there to assist us whenever we needed anything and made sure we were always feeling comfortable. The accommodations are spacious, comfortable and clean, and the food prepared by the hosts is absolutely delicious. There is a nice rooftop facing the lake with a beautiful view, where to chill for the sunset and have dinner. The position is perfect, right in the heart of the city. Many attractions are within walking distance and the area is full of little shops. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience, we would definitely come back! 🙏🏻🌸
