How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Narrow street leading to property which made parking big suv a challenge. Also paying extra for usage of AC or Heater was unexpected. Or else every thing was good.

Regarding street link,you have also observed that it is due to google map misguide, otherwise, our guest house is hardly 50 to 60 m away from national highway NH44 BYPASS,Connected by more than 5m wide link. you also have mentioned regarding your big suv , which remained comfortably parked in our property parking. Regarding extra electric charges for AC heating and cooling,it is being done for judicious and proper use of ACs by the guests,you can bear us out,that you were not charged extra. Verified reviewIt is almost like a home stay. Property is owned by a retired high level officer. He runs the property with full passion. Even though he is a retired very senior level officer, he is a very humble person. He continuously remained in our contact till we reached the place after a long day. He was there to welcome us. First he made us comfortable unlike hotels. He explained us everything in detail. Rooms are very well maintained, clean and comfortable with all amenities. Property has shared kitchen also, we did not use it. We needed a taxi to go to airport. Mr Bashir Ahmed got us a taxi at a very reasonable rate. He was there to see us off at the time of check out and instructed the taxi driver to see that we did not have any problem. We were really pampered like personal guest.
Nothing which we did not like.

Attention to details of the room was splendid and the owner had put his heart into his service and hospitality. Verified reviewThe owner was super accommodating and arranged vehicle whenever requested. We booked for 2 nights and ended up extending another 2 nights. There are about 10 shops about 200m away. can order food via Swiggy. about 15mins from airport. about 15mins from Lal chowk. as said earlier, the owner was super nice and was more guest-friendly.

Bathroom could be better cleaned and the towels offered were very thin. I found it to be expensive for what is offered.

Verified reviewDue to traveling, my wife fell very sick on reaching Srinagar, the owner Mr Bashir & his manager Mirajbhai went over & above their duty to help us. Personally escorted us to good hospital & she was recovered. They were same as family members in their help to us in this difficult time. The room & all heating was good. They also helped us in all travel matters & sightseeing
