Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaNothing really, except the approach road which is bit difficult for the senior citizens and the kids.
In a short term, it was an excellent experience, the hosts are so helpful that I can not explain. One of the best resort we ever stayed. The view of Kanchenjunga was absolutely clear from the hotel balcony. The homecooked foods were always fresh & delicious.

IndiaThe common washroom near the garden bridge was stinking. So we had to go to our room to attend nature's call. The property doesn't provide lunch. But since we were out touring the city in daytime, it wasn't a problem for us.
Krishna and others were warm and friendly hosts. They got us healthy and tasty food. The location was picturesque with clouds flowing near us.

CanadaI found the bed very hard.
A beautiful property so calm and quiet yet so close to the bustle of Darjeeling. It’s an oasis. The owners and staff are so friendly and couldn’t be more welcoming. As soon as I arrived I felt like an old friend who had stayed here many times before. Delicious fresh food everyday. Meeting many of the guest who gather around the fire every night.

CanadaI can't think of one thing I would change
I chose to stay at the Bloomfield Farmhouse based on the reviews, it exceeded my expectations...and they were so right. The peaceful setting was just what I was looking for. Nightly bonfires, great food and incredible staff quickly moved it to the best place I have stayed during my travels in India. I definitely will come back

IndiaThe toilet did not have a shelf to keep toiletries. It was a little small for a three bedded room. One has to go down a flight of steps from the main road to reach Bloomfield. This poses a problem for those with bad knees or for senior citizens.
We loved the serene environment. We woke up to birdsong everyday and the view of hills in the distance. The surroundings are very green. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Mr. Arun and Mr. Rajiv Rai are thorough gentlemen and very helpful. Arrangements for cars to visit nearby places could be made from here. The food was excellent. The rooms are equipped with blanket warmers for chilly nights and also electric kettles. So tea and coffee lovers can have a cuppa whenever they like. Basking in the winter sunshine on the terrace adjoining our room was lovely.

IsraelAbsolutely nothing, but one should know it's out of town. It's either you walk or get a taxi to Dali Fatak (junction).
By far, Bloomfield EcoFarm is your best option when seeking to stay in a safe, quiet, and serene place. The place offers you clean, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Above all, it's the family like atmosphere that makes your stay enjoyable! The staff at Boomfield Eco is totally committed to your having a memorable experience. I loved my stay at Eco, as you can see. Spending much time on the road, you learn to appreciate the bonuses, only the best offer. A bonfire to warm up the crisp nights and a place to socialize with fellow travelers, an early hike through the mysteries of EcoFarm and its surroundings, and help when you get stuck in town with no available taxis. These are just little examples to show how committed these people are! Thank you, Milan, for making the reservation process such a personalized easy one. Krishna (the madter cook), Shrijana, prianka, and Pragya for your company, excellent food and cleanliness of the place. Panda, thank you for the entertainment: the lovely hike in the morning, the laughter, and the stories you shared. Anil and Nayan for the lovely organic garden, which yields the vegetables served to our plates. Those who appreciate farm to table, it's for you. And last but not least, Arun, for orchestrating this wonderful symphony. For your sensitivity and concern. I heard the guests were calling you 'The fixer', the one who is able to find a solution wherever needed. But I have seen you with my own eyes helping a couple go down the stairs after having one too many beers in town:-) Thank you all for taking care of the environment

AustraliaMake sure you let the hot water heat up for a good 30min and watch out for power outages. Otherwise the place is a bit far from town but its a farm stay so its best to chill and relax near it. If your going to town the staff are super helpful at arranging ways to get there walking or by shared cars.
The staff here are amazing, they are so welcoming! They helped set up tours and with Mr Panda i got to explore the local town and learn so much about the area. Chetan the driver is very friendly, can take you on some awesome tours and can do pick ups and drop offs from bagdogra airport for a good price. The food was super tasty and a great price. The campfire each night was really nice to meet others staying there. The area was very peaceful and beautiful. The views whether its completly clear or not are amazing and i was lucky to get a clear day to see the kachugunga range. Was my favourite place i stayed in 2 months in India!

The food was home cooked and delicious and the hikes from.here with Panda were wonderful. Chetan the driver took us to all.the sights and is a careful driver. The room is basic but comfortable with a great sitting area to enjoy the view. The entire property is spotless and clean unlike most of India

United StatesAccess to the farmhouse is a bit steep downhill. There is a long set of stairs, making it slightly challenging to reach the cabins, but it adds a touch of adventure to the experience
The farmhouse we stayed at had a phenomenal mountain view—the perfect place to find peace in nature. After sunset, Aroon lights a fire pit where guests, family, and neighbors gather to warm up and enjoy great conversations. Aroon treated us to a splendid home-cooked meal. We arrived after 9 PM, and he welcomed us with local tea and dinner. Every morning, breakfast was delicious, and even when I requested a special dish, he happily prepared it for us. All activities are easily accessible by taxi, and the farmhouse is just 15 minutes from Darjeeling train station. Enjoy a ride on the toy train, visit Mall Road, and explore the beautiful tea fields. Shedup Choephelling Temple is right behind the farmhouse, three minutes walks. Mussoorie is about two and a half hours from the airport. Truly the perfect place!

United KingdomYou had to walk down step and a lane to get to the property but the hosts carried our bags.
The rooms are large and clean with nice views. An electric blanket on the bed made the cold evenings better. The food was great but the hosts are the best, they looked after us so well. The location is quiet and away from the main centre of Darjeeling.

United KingdomIt was not the fault of Bloomfield that the sky was made up of thick mist to the tops of trees but this and the cold spoilt the stay. The room was cold even with a heater. Worst of all was trying to enjoy the delicious food while shivering in three layers
The staff were kind, helpful, fun and educated.the grounds were peaceful, cared for and refreshing compared to the chaos of Darjeeling. The food was filling and varied. Tea was always on offer as were hot water bottles!
