I am a television freak and there was no TV in my room so that was a little disappointing.

The location was good and the property is just by the beach. So you will have beach access.

It is a no-frills property but some improvements are required: 1. Ceiling fans in the rooms/cottages 2. Deeper cleaning of the bathrooms ( they were decent tho)

Location! Just on the Odayam beach. The property has an independent restaurant (Blue Water Cafe) which was excellent! The staff is good.

Cleanliness could be improved. The towels and bed linen were not clean. Especially, the towels had stains. There were lot of big ants in the room which even came on the bed.

The resort is right on the beach. Very convenient and beautiful views. Peaceful and serene. Basic toiletries were provided. AC was working well. Staff was friendly and polite. Great cold coffee. Food was decent.

There is no negatives to say really. But only thing to be aware of is the pathway at night time into the main hub is not lit and can be a problem if you have mobility difficulties. But you can get a tuk tuk for 150 rupees.

The location and the view is to die for. It's right on the beach. You can also walk till the cliff. The food is awesome and so are the people working there. There are some local laws, which if followed your stay will be even better.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was polite, helpful and friendly, especially the young men working in the restaurant (Amit and others). They are kind to local stray animals which means a lot to us! The room was clean, had a fan and AC. Well equipped bathroom with warm shower. Bottled water was provided each day which was a nice touch. We ate at the restaurant for every meal during our 2 night stay in Varkala and the food was delicious. The hotel is on a coastal walk with great sunset view points and sea eagles 5 mins away. There isn't anywhere to access the sea directly from the hotel but it is quite choppy anyway (August). You need to walk north for maybe 30 mins to get to a larger beach.

1. Room conditions were pathetic. After raising a complaint with the manager, the air conditioning was not working correctly. He said that you can leave and book somewhere else. Since I was travelling with a small baby, I had to adjust and use a hand fan. 2. facility: No TV, No hair dryer, No locker, No fridge and No proper locks 3. Service take lot of time
