I can’t recommend Chandan guesthouse highly enough. Excellent value for money. The staff are so lovely and accomodating. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The property is a short walk from the main bazaar. The gardens are beautiful and full of flowers. A great place for foreigners to stay.

My stay in Chandan Guesthouse was excellent. The rooms and communal courtyard for relaxing are great. Everything is clean and well maintained. The hosts were super friendly and made me feel most welcome. The location is well balanced to be close enough to the main market to easily walk in/out and far away enough to be peaceful. There is also a street less than five minutes walk with restaurants and trekking/tour agencies. The rooms I have stayed in all have great natural light and views of the area or out onto the garden. Laundry is also offered which was very helpful following days of trekking. I have stayed here twice and will be back again!

I felt very much at home at Chandan. The owners are so warm, welcoming and hospitable. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the main market, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I’ve already returned for my 2nd visit and wouldn’t look anywhere else when I next come to Leh

Tricky to find place without telephone with maps.

Silent area, beautiful garden with cosy please to sit and rest. Owner really friendly and elastic. It's a great place to collect energy before some trek in the mountains.

It was a cold weather and there was no heating in the room.

Tanzin, the guesthouse owner and manager was very helpful in every aspect of our stayi. She instructed us on alternative ways to get along in Leh and was attentive to our requests. Dinners were very tasty. We enjoyed our stay and wormly recommend this guesthouse

A new building in a quiet neighborhood. Room are spacious, clean, well designed. The host is very nice and cooks good food. Bathroom is very nice, and there's a balcony with stunning view on the moutain.

Lovely guesthouse with a nice outdoor area - most rooms come with a balcony as well. It’s ideally located in a quiet area but a short walk away from restaurants and the city centre. The rooms are very comfortable, well equipped and clean, and the owner is very sweet and helpful. I highly recommend!

Chandan Guest House - Exceptional hospitality and care We return to Chandan Guest House repeatedly with my children, including when traveling with an infant. The guest house offers both simple accommodation and very modern, well-equipped rooms that any luxury hotel would be proud of - all always spotlessly clean and well-maintained. I always felt truly safe and secure there. The owner personally takes care of everything and her helpfulness is absolutely exceptional. Her hospitality truly stands out - she is incredibly accommodating and goes above and beyond to help her guests. When the airline lost all our luggage at the airport, she was extraordinarily helpful. She provided us with everything we needed and personally called the airport multiple times until our suitcases were found. Her dedication and assistance were truly remarkable. The guest house features a beautiful garden, and you can feel how much she genuinely cares for her guests. The location is perfect - close enough to the city center yet in a very clean and safe area. Despite offering accommodation ranging from simple to high-quality standard, the exceptional personal service, cleanliness, and the owner's outstanding care make this place truly special. As a mother traveling with children, I always felt completely safe and well-cared for.
