Very small room with balcony but the price was too high. the fan was not in full swing and the ac took so much time for the room to chill. the property should look after these things do the improvement otherwise the location was great very near to cliff and beach

There were a few basic things that were missing 1- the communal kitchen is very basic ! 2 or 3 pieces of cutlery, no communal basic foods like oil , sugar , salt , tea etc 2- No area for drying your clothes , which could be easily rectified by putting a small drying area on the roof top Apart from that ! My stay was great and I’d recommend it 😊👍

The upper bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was hot compared to the lower bed.

The bathroom never seemed very clean, walls and sink area doesn't look as though they ever get wiped but compared to many other places in India it's really not bad at all! The main problem is the water! It's on a manual switch downstairs for the pump so at busy times the water literally stops! Always seemed to be me using the shower at the time - thanks John for being quick to turn it back on when I text! Noisy roommates but that's not the hostel's fault! Some people seemingly just don't know you're supposed to be considerate and not switch every light on/play music/talk full volume at 2am/6am etc 🤦🏼‍♀️

Location is key here! Literally about 1 minute and you're looking at the beach from the cliff top! John the manager is really kind and friendly - checked on me when I had the flu and didn't make it out of bed for 2 days which was appreciated! Comfy beds, sturdy beds with individual light and plug socket, lockers in separate area to beds and decent mirror! Nice rooftop and balconies Kitchen available if you do want to cook Good shower with hot water!

Water coming from tap and shower is temperamental. The tap water ran brown to begin and at one point the water from the shower completely stopped. Expensive for a private room in a hostel but probably comparable to other privates in the area.

Good location just a minute (if that!) from the cliff with the bars, restaurants and shops. Lovely space and nicely decorated. Private room was spacious and clean and balcony area nice - sea view is limited as it's behind other properties but but still nice to see! Quiet, especially considering it is a hostel.

the property was just on the north cliff which was a major reason i picked this hostel. the rooms and the washroom were decently sized. you get a good view of the ocean from the Terrace

When i was there in Nov. 2024 it was very new, so couple of things werent ready yet. Trashbin was missing in the room, and the bathroom was difficult to keep clean. (More a fault of the guests, not the hosts!)

The location will not get any better in Varkala. The staff is super super nice. The property is very new and modern. Has a swing inside the entrance hall! Common kitchen, and i loved the rooftop terrace with sea view! Just one step down to the beach, no walking time. Cleaning forces there every day!

I came there for one day but I have extended my stay. Such a nice people, especially Akash and Nandu. Akash is such a nice manager who manages everything with a friendly way. The atmosphere was really calm and good. The dorms are well maintained. I had an amazing stay at Cliff & coral hostel. Highly recommended ❤✨Thank you Cliff & Coral Hostel😘Hope to visit again✨❤

This property is a beautiful big house with an amazing terrace. The dormitory was fine, although I was there during very high season and it was quite crowded. Therefore the cleaning wasn't the best. Location is wonderful and the guys working there were super friendly. All in all it was a nice experience!
