Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumAlthough the hotel had communicated well prior to our arrival and were aware we’d be arriving late, our early morning check-in (around 4:00 AM) was not best handled. We pressed one of the two buzzers at the closed gate, and someone- likely the female owner from the upstairs apartment - answered quite gruffly, telling us, “Someone will come. Do not press the buzzer again.” After a long-haul flight, this was a disappointing and unwelcoming first impression. This process really needs clearer instructions or signage for guests arriving after hours. It was a deal breaker - but an improvement point. Breakfast was very basic—adequate at best. While the omelette and breads were fine, there’s definitely room for improvement in both variety and presentation. That said, they made an excellent milk coffee when asked! The pictures on booking.com paint à rosier picture than reality. It’s nice, but rough around the edges.
The location is fantastic - tucked away in Doctor’s Lane near Connaught Place, in what was apparently the former DPRK embassy! Despite being in the heart of Delhi, the area felt relatively calm and secluded. The gardens are beautifully maintained, adding a peaceful touch to the stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the shower had great pressure—a real bonus after long days out. A special mention must go to the staff member managing the property on behalf of the owners (who live upstairs). He was absolutely brilliant - super responsive, pleasant, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. He was also the one who eventually let us in on our first night. A real asset to the place! Also, a top tip for Delhi: use Uber. It’s incredibly cheap and efficient, and the app has a built-in PIN system that must be matched with your driver—excellent for safety and ease, especially if you don’t want to deal with cash.

MauritiusThe place is very pretty and cosy. The garden is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The food is very good, especially the Aloo Paratha and cutlets in the morning. Nice location too, not too far from everything.

NetherlandsThe bathroom/toilet is attached to the outside of the room so you have to walk to it via the balcony, which was not very convenient. Access by car is a bit weird in the early morning, there are some gates nearby which block access to the property until later in the day.
Good location, close to the city center by taxi/tuk tuk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They have a beautiful garden where you can get breakfast or relax away from the noise of Delhi.

NetherlandsRoom 5, which I occupied, has a bathroom outside of the room, accessed via a private balcony. It was mentioned in the booking, but might not be everybody's cup of tea.
Close to Connaught Place but in a leafy calm street, a school building converted into a small bed and breakfast. Kind service, a simple but good breakfast served in the garden and a private patio for most rooms.

United KingdomA calm oasis in leafy New Delhi. Former North Korean embassy turned chill home stay. we ordered food through Swiggy and also sampled the delicious breakfast. The former is dead easy if you’re not up to speed with Indian apps. Bed incredibly comfortable. Some of the best sleep I’ve ever had. Location really good to see all sights and for a simple trip to the airport (maybe 35-40 min Uber). Would recommend to literally everyone.

Our stay was too short to really appreciate the place, but the owner was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious with small patio attached. Everything was spotless. We enjoyed the free fruit which we could take for our breakfast when we had to leave before 6AM.

United KingdomThere was nothing I disliked about the property. Some people may find the area at the other end of the street is too earthy but it’s India.
Quiet area with very nice little garden. Staff were helpful, breakfast was good, though with limited choices, room was large and small patio area was quiet and a relief from the hustle and bustle. A short tuk tuk ride to C.P for approximately 30-40 inr.

United KingdomIt is more expensive than other places, although I did book fairly last minute and definitely worth the price for the knowledge that you are staying safe.
I just arrived in Delhi and it was the perfect first place to stay. Very peaceful and beautiful. Clean and tidy room, with a pretty outdoor patio. The guys who run it look after you very well and I had no issues at all. As the reviews say, a perfect place for women and solo travellers. Thank you ❤️

United StatesWe would have taken advantage of a larger breakfast menu if it had been available
Our room was clean, fully equipped, comfortable and quiet. It was not difficult to reach from the Delhi Airport, taking the Airport Express train to Shivaji Stadium station, then a 15 minute walk to CP Villa. There is also easy access to the RK Ashram Metro station. Breakfast at CP Villa was fairly basic, but the hosts can recommend other dining options if that is your preference.
