How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location is fantastic - tucked away in Doctor’s Lane near Connaught Place, in what was apparently the former DPRK embassy! Despite being in the heart of Delhi, the area felt relatively calm and secluded. The gardens are beautifully maintained, adding a peaceful touch to the stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the shower had great pressure—a real bonus after long days out. A special mention must go to the staff member managing the property on behalf of the owners (who live upstairs). He was absolutely brilliant - super responsive, pleasant, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. He was also the one who eventually let us in on our first night. A real asset to the place! Also, a top tip for Delhi: use Uber. It’s incredibly cheap and efficient, and the app has a built-in PIN system that must be matched with your driver—excellent for safety and ease, especially if you don’t want to deal with cash.
Although the hotel had communicated well prior to our arrival and were aware we’d be arriving late, our early morning check-in (around 4:00 AM) was not best handled. We pressed one of the two buzzers at the closed gate, and someone- likely the female owner from the upstairs apartment - answered quite gruffly, telling us, “Someone will come. Do not press the buzzer again.” After a long-haul flight, this was a disappointing and unwelcoming first impression. This process really needs clearer instructions or signage for guests arriving after hours. It was a deal breaker - but an improvement point. Breakfast was very basic—adequate at best. While the omelette and breads were fine, there’s definitely room for improvement in both variety and presentation. That said, they made an excellent milk coffee when asked! The pictures on booking.com paint à rosier picture than reality. It’s nice, but rough around the edges.
hi.. thank you for taking the time to review us. We apologise for the early morning slipup. we will definately take correction action and make sure it does not happen again. Regarding breakfast, Given that we have only five rooms, many people do not have breakfast and making a huge variety as such leads to wastage. We do however have poha, upma, paratha, omlette, tea coffee, breads. We will however improve on the presentation. thanks Amit

Verified reviewStaff members are very helpful on the requests. Location is close to CP.
Room was very small, no attached bathroom, no attached sink, patio under construction.
HI thank you for taking the time for review. The king room with patio is the biggest room we have. Its bigger than most rooms you find in the entire Connaught place area. It has two big recliners. What you are referring to the patio was actually the terrace. Its not part of the room. The bathroom is through the attached patio which is not under construction. Actually we wanted to have a different kind of room rather than a standard room. So we thought the entrance of the bathroom through the open private patio would be different. Most Outdoors persons like it. Sorry for the less than perfect experience.

Verified reviewThe garden was a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of Delhi
Strange type of organisation - no reception so you rely on “catching someone” but you’re never sure if you’re catching someone who can help etc
Hi. thank you for taking the time to review. We are a bed and breakfast establishment and by law, we cannot have a formal reception. The establishment has to have a look and feel of a home. However, in case of assistance, we are just a call away. There are intercom in all the rooms. There is a small cafe in the garden. Also there is an electronic bell in the lounge area. Our experience has been that most guests do not want unncessary intrusion and value their privacy.. As such, we try to be invisible unless needed. We will however make suitable changes to allievate your concern. thanks Cp villa team.

Verified reviewThe greenery is really nice. I would recommend avoiding room 4 with patio as it has a steel roof which is very noisy during rainy weather
hi. thank you for your review. Room No. 4 has a puf panel and yes during rains it does make a noise. That actually is by design since we wanted to have a room with an outdoor feel. People who love outdoors and nature sounds would love this room. Please do click on the room type prior to booking so that you know which room is being booked. Its difficult for us to change rooms later. Regards CP VILLA Team

Verified reviewThe place is very pretty and cosy. The garden is beautiful and the staff was very helpful. The food is very good, especially the Aloo Paratha and cutlets in the morning. Nice location too, not too far from everything.

Verified reviewGood location, close to the city center by taxi/tuk tuk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They have a beautiful garden where you can get breakfast or relax away from the noise of Delhi.
The bathroom/toilet is attached to the outside of the room so you have to walk to it via the balcony, which was not very convenient. Access by car is a bit weird in the early morning, there are some gates nearby which block access to the property until later in the day.
Thank you for visiting. Always glad to see a Happy Guest!!..:). We wanted to do something different and were bored with the same layout ..so with Room 5 ( King Room on booking.com. on the second floor, only stairs ), we experimented with a bathroom through the private patio. Many like it, some do not...:). It kind of keeps you connected with the outside nature...:) regarding the gates, some gates are closed in evening for security reasons. However its a very small residential area and all the gates are nearby. Plus we are exactly marked on google maps. Just follow the maps and you cannot get lost..:) thanks cp villa team

Verified reviewClose to Connaught Place but in a leafy calm street, a school building converted into a small bed and breakfast. Kind service, a simple but good breakfast served in the garden and a private patio for most rooms.
Room 5, which I occupied, has a bathroom outside of the room, accessed via a private balcony. It was mentioned in the booking, but might not be everybody's cup of tea.
