Everything about Devashola was great. Location is excellent with great view of the niligiri hills. It was a great experience. Travellers better plan to reach during daylight to enjoy the excellent scenic route to and at the homestay. Mr.Naveen, the owner is very courteous and very helpful. I will recommend this homestay to my friends and relatives

I won't say didn't like but yes was not very comfortable with the idea that if I am the only guest who has chose say Bison valley then after 8pm i will be all alone over there till 6am. That is a bit scary which happened to one couple while we were over there. Luckily we were 2 families on day 1 & 3 on day 2 in Bison valley. Again it is 25km from main town so not for people who are coming only fir site-seeing.

Property is situated amidst nature. Totally away from town. Loved it. The staff is really friendly, specially the host Mr. Naveen was very helpful. He would personally take rounds around all the rooms situated in 4 different sites and see if guests are comfortable or they need anything. Food was cooked according to our choice and taste was totally homely. Will surely recommend it to people who want a holiday in Coonoor to relax. They have a jeep safari which takes you around the property which is spread across some 600-650 acres. Stay also includes a morning walk inside the tea-estate which takes around 1 hour.

The stay was awesome and surroundings were very calm and pleasant. We had booked Bison valley rooms and had the lovely opportunity to see the Bisons early morning near to our room. Manager Naveen was very good in guiding the route to the resort .Food was really good prepared by cook Selva kumar as if I am having home cooked fresh food.We had a walk through the tea estate by the estate guide in the morning, It was very refreshing.Overall experience was really great.

I didn't like that Naveen said other guests have given bad feedback because they got spooked in the night driving to the place... 🙄 Seriously? How can anyone give a negative review after waking up in the morning and experiencing the place, people and food? I didn't like the guests. Naveen wasn't complaining btw, he just said that as a reason why they have early check-in and don't tend to allow late check-ins so that they can avoid bad reviews. But I assured him that I am not easily spooked and he then graciously arranged for my late check-in and had a guy wait for me to guide us in to the cottages once we reached the estate. Naveen kept tabs on us while I started from Coimbatore post work ( which took longer than expected!) Again, thanks a TON Naveen and Ashwin for accommodating my timeline and not making a face once abt my ever changing schedule in getting to you guys. That made all the difference to me, your kindness made all the difference to my entire trip.

Gosh! Where do I start! Ashwin was very helpful with the confusion I had with the booking and payment confirmation. He was also very ammenable for the late check-in. He kept in touch and made sure I was helped along the way. Naveen was my point of contact for this and for the rest of the trip and I must say Naveen was AMAZING. He absolutely made sure and kept in touch with my driver until I finally reached the property late in the night. He made sure I had food when I arrived which was brilliant as well. The location is a bit remote and that's why both Ashwin and Naveen were worried. But Naveen explained that it is safe to drive in, but other guests usually get spooked by how dark it is and get really upset about the stay. But for me the very fact that it is deep in the tea plantation country was a MASSIVE PLUS. And why would one be silly to be afraid of this? The property is set in the middle of a plantation and it's absolutely gorgeous. Just the VERY THING I had wanted. When I opened the cottage doors the very next morning, the view was to DIE FOR. the clouds were at my door step and all I could see as far as I could see was rolling green hills and mountains are the far distance. It was HEAVEN. there was a swing and a hammock and I could care less about anything else but sit on those and enjoy myself. Any which way you turned it was beauty more than your eyes could take. The sunshine and the clouds went away for 30 mins and I had a crystal clear view of the entire valley and then the clouds came back again... It was like sun and the clouds were playing a game of catch and I got to witness and enjoy this beauty of a game. Bliss man! Utter and sheer bliss! I had my ear phones on and was in heaven with Illayaraja and ARR. The Jeep safari was included in the package but I didn't want to leave their lawn. Why why I, if I stepped down from the lawn it is the tea plantation.

Property shows wear and tear. Some mold on the walls. Location is remote and not close to anything, but that makes it secluded as well.

Although we loved the food we get yet Food can be better as this place is in isolation. Bed linen can also be taken care and improved.

We stayed in Madhav rooms, We liked the surrounding, it was same as mentioned. Very peaceful and calm place. Rooms are very big and perfect for family. All three contact person Ashwin, Santosh and Ravi were very courteous and hospital. They were very attentive.

    Nothing.

It was well off the beaten track but that’s what made it such a delightful place to stay. It was just us 2 and the birds and the water buffalo. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was delicious. The views were amazing and we really enjoyed just sitting on the veranda watching the tea pickers, the chipmunks, reading and soaking up the atmosphere and clean air.

The cost of the room is little expensive we were a couple and we had 3-4 extra beds in our room which costed the price to be higher. its good for big group of people but for those who are a couple they can keep or arrange smaller rooms and charge a little less.

I liked the hospitality they offered and overall they took care of food and stay very nicely.
