Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Window in the room was covered as it faces contruction site. But overall good and very quiet
Very clean, spacious room, staff were friendly and polite. Well located if wanting something close to Thousand Lights metro, US consulate.

The neighborhood was very basic.
I stayed there to be close to the US embassy and so the location turned out to be perfect. Its was a 12 min walk to the embassy. I also liked the bathroom. It would dry up very quickly and it was big. The ventilation in the room was good and it was very clean.

Shankar sir at the reception was super accommodative and nice and that hospitality was the best part od the visit...he made sure everything was set and allowed me to check in at 9 30 so I can head to the US Consulate on time ...the room was clean..very close to the consulate ...felt safe..if you are visiting chennai for the consulate this should be your go to place ...very was seamless!!

We arrived at 7 am on a sleeper bus from Munnar. At first I was pleased when I thought the staff let us check in early from the kindness in their heart and because the room was empty, available, and ready. Well the next morning at 7 am the phone rang and we were told to check out soon, or pay more. This was never mentioned during the early check in. Since we had a late flight that night we did pay to check out later, which was fine. But no receipt was available because he could not enter this transaction into the computer since it was for a partial day. There are worse ways to get scammed and it was only $15. He was actually incredibly nice and helpful otherwise. Efficient front desk.
For a cheap room in India it was clean with a modern style toilet and shower. Not bad for a night or two. Close to some stores and food. Not much else.

Access to the property is through a very narrow lane and not very clean and tourist friendly approach road.
Very friendly staff. Shankaranarayan the front desk manager was very helpful in guiding us and ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay. The other property staff were also very friendly and prompt in addressing needs. Also property is relative new and in good condition.

Having to take cold showers and, at a certain point, no water. We understand this was due to the cyclone. A force majeur, so no fault of the hotel. Having said that, communication that it couldn't be fixed during our 4 day stay could have been better.

I would say the location of this hotel is in a crowded area. I didn't feel comfortable venturing out after dark. The hotel does not have its own restaurant and neither are there any nice restaurants in the area. Had to order food from a local joint.
The room was neat and clean and well maintained. Air conditioning was working well and helped us survive the Chennai heat. The distance to the US consulate is quite short and that is a big plus. There are a couple of hotels that do room delivery which helped since there are no nice restaurants in a walkable distance.

No coffee , tea bags, sugar and cups provided in the room. The room had a electric kettle but no use . Hotel should make arrangements to supply coffee / tea etc from near by hotel. They need to keep a fridge in the common area for cold water.
The location is good and it is a simple and clean hotel. Good vegetarian restaurant Sangeetha is just walkable distance. Also very close to US consulate across the road.

Excellent location- close to metro station and Mall. Clean basic room. Great value. What made my 8-day stay so wonderful is the manager Faizal. He had arranged great deal on transportation and laundry.
