Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Mattresses were a little hard ☺️
Wonderful staff, delicious breakfast (Aunty makes the best I’ve had so far!), and great location (near Sim’s Park and Highland Tea Plantation and away from the traffic in the center). Mr. Sasi Kumar went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met.

Some facilities could have been added in the room . Like coffee cups, cutlery crockery minimal kitchen amenities along with the electric kettle. Additional Shower rack in the toilet for holding toiletries could have been added .
Staff are approachable and friendly. They try to accommodate our preferences.

Room on the first floor has steep stairs. Needs to walk carefully. Bathroom is small and a few improvements suggested. Overall a nice place

It's a beautiful facility, along with a very supportive staff. Special mention to Mr, Sasi Kumar and Raju. Must book if you are planning to visit Coonoor.

The location of the guest house was excellent. Coonoor town itself is quite hectic but while the guest house is only a few minutes drive away it is much calmer. A couple minutes walk away is an amazing large park (sims park) which as well as being great for adults has a large children’s park which our son enjoyed playing with the local children in. The manager is super helpful and friendly. All the staff enjoyed entertaining our son as he played outside. The communal seating and dining table were perfect for relaxing in the evening. One night I watched a big football match on my iPad using the WiFi with no problems. Food and drinks were prepared whenever needed and were both good quality and reasonably priced. We did a tour of the local sights and took the train to Ooty. This train is famous and the main reason we wanted to visit the area but we found it to be a great place to visit for so many other reasons too. The manager organised us a good car and driver to take us all the way to Mysore when we left. He even arranged for the driver to collect us with all our luggage and then drop us at the train station so we could enjoy the mountain railway to Ooty leaving all the bags in the car. When we arrived in Ooty the car was waiting for us to take us to Mysore. We will definitely return in the future if we pass this way again.

The only thing: Noisy watch on the wall, could be taken out of the room. We took it off and the batteries out during the night.
Extremely nice and helpful owner, we even were offered some hot tea for a welcome. Good location, clean and comfortable room. Clean and good towels, hot water. We recommend this stay!

Morning Tea will be late. Choice of food is not there. A lady runs kitchen which has little scope of variation. Food was tasty.
Room is big and clean. Little old fashion. Staff behaviour is excellent. Location is superb. In 1st floor and narrow stair.
