The friendliest people! They were so helpful with everything we needed. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were comfortable but the highlight was definitely the camel safari! The guides were so friendly; they shared stories about their lives and cooked the best food and there was only 4 of us from the hotel and our guides sleeping in the area we were. The restaurant at the hotel did a great breakfast and it was only a short walk to the centre of the town and the fort.

Hotel Fotiya is conveniently situated in Jaisalmer and easily walkable to the fort area and all restaurants and sites. The hospitality at Fotiya is amazing and the staff were so kind and welcoming. Fotiya even drive us to the bus station, organised our tickets and made sure we were on the right bus! He also organised a non tourist dessert safari which was a fabulous experience. The rooms are incredible value for money and spacious and clean with hot water.

Ali is hospitable and polite. We did the desert excursion- great experience- very accommodating giving us use of the showers before leaving. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the gentleman in the restaurant, but his food was yummy. Great value for money.

It was a superb experience. The owner and staff is well mannered, and cooperative. Offers awesome hospitality. Generous nature. Rooms and clean and all basic amenities available. Prices are really affordable considering the costly place and tourist inflow.

If there has been a higher level than 5 star, I would have given them it. It is really amazing to stay here. 5* for service: Free pickup, extremely helpful, friendly and attentive staff. Narsi and the hotel owner answered all my questions about city, culture, custom and travel tips, helped us a lots always with a smile on their face, even when I asked about the Queen Harish show which has been no longer provided or asked for the hot water at late night. 5* for food: massive menus in both Indian and Korean styles. Food is fresh, high quality, rich taste, provided with free side dishes (kimchee, cucumber, fries). Bibimbap are highly recommended. 5* for tours: it is optional for you to join their tours but I recommended. It took me 30 minutes to consider their offers, then I found out it totally worth. I went on a dessert tour to see Camel festival in combination with camel riding, sunset seeing, overnight Safari and sunrise in Sam dunes. It is perfect experience. Food was provided generously, camping tent for just 2-3 people, sleeping bags and blankets kept me warm and have a good sleep for the whole night, even they had a dog to cheer tourists up and prevent any other animals on dessert at night. I was told that the tour guide was born in dessert so he seems to know everything If I come back to Jaisamer, Fotiya is absolutely my choice.

On of the best place we stayed in India. Everyone that works on the hotel are absolutely fantastic people! Our train got delayed and instead of arriving to Jaisalmer at 10.30pm, we arrived at 2.30am. And Fotiya comes to pick us up at 2.30am to the train station! Also even we had others plans after talked to Ali, an other amazing staff, we decided to changed our plans and go with them for a non-touristic camel safari and spent one night in the middle of the desert under the stars! It was an amazing experience, we went to a pretty isolated place where we did not find any other tourist! Everything was gorgeous and really authentic! In general at Fotiya hotel we had a great experience! they helped us with everything (even with our train back)!

    Best hotel in India 🇮🇳

Excellent structure, new and very clean and attached to the fort and the center of Jaisalmer. Very kind and helpful staff. They also offer a desert tour and they are really very good and professional, the owner of the hotel has been a desert guide for a long time and you can see the difference in how much he knows compared to others even just by talking to us together. We arrived late the first evening and they went to get us something to eat in the rain... after the desert tour they let us have the room for an extra day for free and while waiting for our bus, to which they accompanied us, they gave us a tour of the city, these are just some of the kindnesses made The best experience so far in India highly recommended!

Immediate area is a bit run down but walkable to major sights. Air conditioner drips a bit but not needed at night.

Staff did a great job communicating with me in advance and anticipating the dangers of me arriving late at the train station. Thanks, Ali! Room was as promised & comfortable. Upstairs restaurant was convenient. Staff was friendly and advice helpful.

The guest house is very centrally located. you have a beautiful view from the cozy roof terrace to the Ford which can be reached in 5-10 minutes on foot. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are all new. On the roof terrace you could order coffee, tea, drinks and small dishes, everything was very tasty. Opposite there is an attached Roof Top restaurant with excellent cuisine. The staff is very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. on our request they organized an exclusive 2 days camel tour just for us both in a remote desert section. Ask for camel guide salim . He is super nice and cooks great Back at the guesthouse I was surprised by all the staff of the house late in the evening with cakes and singing for my birthday. It was really a very touching stay. Thanks once again to the whole staff! We will definitely be back!

The room was spacious and clean, just incredible value for money There was also wide selection of delicious food options available. Staff were very friendly, hospitable and flexible. They even invited us to join a little celebration and offered us delicious chocolate cake! Highly recommended place to stay in hotel fotiya jaisalmer

There are many things we liked such as: 1.Cleaness: This has been the cleanest place we've stayed in India, when we arrived we received our room in the best condition ever. 2. Staff: The people working there went above and beyond to help us out in everything we needed. Really helped us out with transportation from and onto the trail station early in the morning and they also helped us guiding us around the city.3.Desert tour: In the hotel they recommended us the best desert tour ever, which allowed us to see the desert, the sunset, and afterwards the sky full of stars. The tour operator was very friendly and helped us out with any question we had around the region. Overall, it was an incredible experience that made us love Jalsaimer and its people.

Nice place, peaceful in the night time. Walking distance from town and the fort. Hot shower, comfy bed. There’s also a great restaurant on the roof with some Korean specialties for a decent price. After the desert tour they let me use a room to shower in, which was very kind.
