The TV channels won’t work, AC was only in one bedroom, limited plug connections in the room and the bed side plug won’t work.

Great location right on the Ghat. The room had a terrace you could go out onto, with a view of the Ganges right in front. Aircon in the room was superb. The owner was very helpful when my boy was ill on the 2nd day.

Very peaceful and enjoyable stay. The room was large and luminous, with balcony and Gange river view. The staff members were really friendly and the house owner organised a private walking tour for us. Highly recommended!!

The guest house is so close to the Ganges, the roof top view is second to non, no need for rip off tours, you see everything from the roof, as far as sunrises and sun sets if it's not too smoggy. Tandon and his staff couldn't be more charming. The food was delicious, and you can walk along the front of all the Ghats, a truly magical place.

Our stay at Shiva Ganges View Guest House was genuinely incredible. The views of the Ganges from our room were breathtaking - watching the sunrise over the holy river each morning was a spiritual experience. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. They made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to enhance our Varanasi experience. What made this place notable was how authentically immersive it was. The location allowed us to be fully present in Varanasi's spirituality—we could easily access the ghats for ceremonies and witness daily life unfolding along the sacred river. The clean rooms, helpful staff, and unbeatable location made Shiva Ganges View Guest House the perfect base for exploring this ancient spiritual city. If you're looking for a genuine Varanasi experience rather than just a place to sleep, I can't recommend it enough. We left feeling deeply connected to the heart and soul of this magical city.

All was perfectly fine and if forced to, I would say that the checkin ritual of mr Tandon Jee is too long winded with mentioning all the options you can add during your stay especially after a long days travel by train. ( but he is adorable and eager to make your stay remarkable!). The tv didn’t have signal but it didn’t bother me as I rather sat outside soaking up the ambiance

I adored my room on the ground floor with little outside area where the locals and the cows, dogs and monkeys included me in the day to day life. The property is directly at the top of the stairs of the Ghat overlooking the Ganges and I sat hours just on those steps watching it all…. Very peaceful. Please note that there are no cars or TukTuk’s able to access the narrow roads so there’s a few steps involved to get to the Haveli with help from the lovely staff. The Haveli itself is done up incredibly and has a large rooftop with stunning views over all the ghats. The breakfast buffet is scrumptious with Indian and continental options and fresh fruits and fresh pressed orange juice! Bino and the younger guy serving at breakfast (sorry forgot his name!) are very friendly and attentive to make sure you have all you desire. I order twice an evening meal and it is freshly cooked from scratch and scrumptious! Can’t recommend this enough!

We had a ground floor room which didn’t have a view of the river, plus the windows opened straight onto an alley so we weren’t able to open curtains/shutters. There were also a few bugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was okay but in the atrium in the ground floor - it would be nice if it was on the rooftop with some shade.

Location was perfect - straight onto the ghats and being able to walk along the river was wonderful. Rooftop had a great view (but no coverings which meant we didn’t spend much time up there in 40 degrees)

Good view of the river Ganges from the room balcony( higher floor Room 5 ) and from the roof top. Kashi Viswanath temple and other popular ghats are nearby. Guest house staff are helpful to the guests.

One night, I found myself locked out and had to knock on the main door for quite some time before the staff finally let me in. Upon checkout, I had pre-booked a taxi through the hotel, expecting a smooth departure. However, to my disappointment, they made me walk nearly 30 minutes to the taxi pickup point instead of arranging a more convenient option. Given that I paid ₹1500 for the taxi, this was completely unacceptable. A simple auto-rickshaw transfer to the taxi location would have made a huge difference, but the staff showed no initiative to provide basic convenience.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, right on the banks of the Ganges, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist, adding to the overall pleasant experience.

The location is very good but taxis dont get near. You have to walk 10 minutes with your luggage. But the staff helps with the lugage. Massages are very good.

The location was excellent and extremely convenient for my purpose of travel which was during the Mahakumbh 2025. The hospitality of the staff was fabulous and we were very delighted. The flavorful home made food was really great.

Bathroom was small. Not many options for breakfast. I was hoping for a sumptuous Banarasi breakfast! Bread and paratha for vegetarians like us.

Fantastic location right on Mansarovar Ghat, rooms and terrace with view of Ganges, very well maintained and clean interiors while outside the hotel is a bit dusty and dirty. Excellent home like food! Friendly staff. Balcony. Toiletries were good quality. The owner himself was ensuring we were taken care of
