Almost too quiet?

A tranquil location where the only sounds are peacocks, squirrels and birds singing, bit short trip into the middle of Mysore. Delicious breakfast and very helpful owner & family.

The owner yamuna was very kind and always available for any queries. She gave us a lot of good recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants which we truly enjoyed. The homestay is lovely and surrounded by nature, it is truly peaceful. Thank you Yamuna!

Nothing to mention here

Perfect homestay with a chill, laid-back vibe and a peaceful garden. Rooms are squeaky clean with a nice sit-out area. Common area is in the middle of the garden with well-equipped cutlery, card games and microwave oven. We stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved it!

Can do better on some smaller things. The bf buffet was not enough as per the number of guests. But they missed refilling it. The doorlock in the washroom wasn't working. However, the overall experience was very good.

The property was maintained very well. It's a beautiful place and they have made sure all the requirements of the guest are met - plates, spoons, dustbin, board games, towels, hammock and more. The host was very warm and always approachable.

The warmth of the host, Yamuna and her parents got perfectly juxtaposed against the chilly weather of Mysore. My toddler fell in love with the place and the food. Needless to say, the adults left with their stomachs and hearts full. Thank you Yamuna! People like you make the experience so enriching. Do give them a visit if you'd like to get away from the city life for an abode nestled in nature.

There was nothing we disliked

It's not that we didn't like, but it would be easier for the guest if there is in-house lunch and dinner arranged. Rest everything is good.

Location was really good very peaceful and clam. Best suited place to stay away from all disturbances and be close to nature. Breakfast was unique and tasty, Kodava style.

It would have been better if they had an in-house cafe. But they still helped us to order food via cloud kitchens so it wasn't a big problem.

Very welcoming and serene property. Gitanjali homestay is a wonderful getaway, if you are looking to stay at Mysore -It is both central and quiet . The rooms are clean,property is well maintained too.Mr.Arun, the property manager,was extremely courteous and was always in constant communication with us even before we reached the property .Thank you to the team for making our stay a memorable one!

Before we arrived, Arun was in touch with us to help plan our logistics and was an ever-present facilitator throughout our stay. Yamuna is the perfect host. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting to her and picking her brain for suggestions on what to visit and where to eat. With its peaceful farm setting and beautiful garden, it’s hard to believe that you are a short auto (tuk-tuk) drive from the colourful Devaraja Market and Mysore Palace. We are already missing indulging in a feast of delightful birds from the cool verandah outside our simple and tasteful room. The breakfasts we had were scrumptious - crispy appams with homemade coconut and organic jaggery, idlis with spicy chutney, homemade banana and bitter orange marmalade all washed down with flavourful South Indian coffee.

Breakfast was simple and nice, room was well cleaned and maintained, Manager Arun was helpful with whatever we need be it directions to places in town or recommendations for restaurants to eat at.
