There wasn't any room heater even if the temperature was very low at night

Everything was good, the location is also very great, bed was very very comfortable but Only one thing can improve it more by just installing a room heater because the room was very very cold at night along with the beda

Approach road to the home stay is badly damaged and also the road leading to the home stay is too steep to track.

The commode is in bad position. A rope should be hung to dry clothes. Location is pretty complex but it suits the name 'hideout' :*)

I liked the atmosphere of the hostel. Good fpr solo travellers but great for groups of 5-6 person. Food was also okay. If I visit darjeeling within year, i will come here again because of accessibility to the mall road.

It’s a bit contraignant to have to ask the reception every time you want to take a shower to have hot water. It would be nice to indicate on the ad that water is a scarce resource in Darjeeling.

Although the stay was good, some facilities needs to be improved. A room heater is provided with an extra cost (300 per night) which should be provided free of cost in winter, as it is a basic necessity. The bathroom heater should be connected to the washbasin as well as with the jet spray, so that people don't feel freezing cold water at night while washing their face or in the toilet.

I liked the view from the hostel, the behaviour of the staff and cleanliness.

The location is the worst part about this property. It's located behind a blue water tank; not one local could help me in spotting this place.

Good value for money. The rooms are clean. The bathroom is spacious and clean. The cafe is the USP of this property.

It's a little socially embarrasing having to go to staff and request hot water but is nature of the location and limited supply I guess. I think even Rajastan has better hot water supply.

Location is perfect, 2 minutes walk from mall road and main square, next to all the good restaurants with a cafe upstairs if you are feeling lazy. The rooms are quite cold but an additional thick blanket comes on top of the first layer which is good to keep warm. There is good storage for luggage unless you have oversized bag.

If the weather is cold, better bei prepared when you stay here. You should have some warm clothes and sleeping bag is good, but Not mandatory, they have enough blankets here. This Problem you might have in every of the affordable accomodations.

Very nice people here, help you with everything. I was hiking for few days and could also let my luggage here with no problems. The view from the Café is amazing.

Initially it's a bit confusing to reach to the hostel. However, it's actually in a great location close to the happening places of Darjeeling. The room was clean, but too small and felt a little expensive to the quoted price. The cafe on the first floor serves good food and has great views of the Sleeping buddha. Highly recommend this place for all backpackers.

We booked for 2 weeks since the reviews and pictures seemed great. We were, however, quite disappointed. We booked the large room, but there was no space to unpack our clothes or any facilities to make a cup of tea. The cafe above only opened after 8 am, so we had to go find a place in the center for our early morning tea. There was no toilet paper or even hand soap in the room. The hot shower does not work, as the hot water pressure is not enough - we could use the hot tap and bucket, though. If you need hot water, you have to ask the staff to switch it on and that took 20min. It would be okay for backpackers on a very small budget, but the reviews were so great that we ended up disappointed. We often stay in backpackers and hostels as we travel the world, and we usually find a great ambiance at all these places with very friendly and enthusiastic staff. We left after one week and moved somewhere else.
