The tranquility due to the location (riverside) & hospitality of the staff, especially Parivallal (Manager), People at Front desk, Chef Sundaralingam and Rajesh (F&B Manager). The staff in general (security, housekeeping, in room dining, restaurant) were friendly and humble.

One of the bathrooms was very poorly maintained, with visible stains and a lingering smell. The paint on the bathroom door was speckled and the handle in the shower cubicle was covered in what looked like limescale. Needed a good cleaning or, better still, complete refurbishment.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were a good size. Garden was well-maintained, and it was nice that the restaurant used the produce grown on-premises. Lovely to hear the sound of peacocks and other birds in the morning, and to have the river almost at your doorstep.

Perhaps another restaurant on site serving a different cuisine or maybe a few more food options.

It is a lovely property to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are very spacious and the property is quite large. The team at the property are very courteous and helpful. The food at the restaurant is good however I do wish they had a few more options. A special mention to Ayyappan and John from the team for taking such good care of us. Ayyappan volunteered himself and showed us the vegetable and fruit garden of the property. They have a very good taxi service run by Mr. Selva Kumar who took us around Thanjavur and other nearby destinations. We'll be back to the property for more vacations of rest and relaxation.

I have been here twice before, and it used to be better. Food could be better for the price.

A little tired. But the gardens are vey nice, and the location on the river is great. It is comfortable, but for the price it could be better.

It was a very spacious and wealkept room. The staff was very cordial . The food varieties were also sufficient. Even when the high tea time was over they served us with good tea and snacks.

First, the location was perfect; on the side of a body of water. Beautiful view. The restaurant served a good variety of breakfast options however, where they shine was dinner. Outstanding service and the food was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. A great stay.

The managers Rajesh and Shridhar were very helpful. They took extra care to meet our gluten free food requirements and also went out of the way to provide us assistance to visit Chettinad mansions. The restaurant staff led by Mr Jon were very professional and their warm service really made our stay pleasurable.
