GermanyWe were begged by staff to give tips, which made us very very uncomfortable. In general there was an expectation to give staff some extra money every single day. Especially for internationals this makes guests feel uncomfortable. Paying a five star hotel would make you think that staff would earn enough to not beg internationals for more money. In contrast, at Taj Hotels this seems to be forbidden and we were treated more than professional. So please, please, pay your staff enough so that they do not beg for money. Even if you have to increase room prices.
Very good hotel, and no wishes were left unfulfilled.

The breakfast buffet in the morning was scrumptious and Labelle chocolate boutique had many delicious desserts to offer too. IndiaNot much to complain except the fact that I have to request for some supplies which were insufficient in the room when we checked in! And a little overpriced (due to understandable reasons)!
Spacious neat and tidy bedroom and toilet, clean comfortable mattress and pillows over all 4.5 / 5! Though I would love to have little bit more continental items in the menu, breakfast was excellent. Another specialty we enjoyed was the evening tea service. I must say it, it is our first time experience, and it was quiet refreshing after our international trip. However, we didn't like the idea of having alcohol and non-alcohol options together. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool, and I had a good time in the Gym. Ambience and architecture were amazing which was a good change compared to our stays in other hotels.

United StatesHotel taxi service was too expensive with no "one-way" options for travel. They also discouraged the use of local taxis, which were much cheaper. Room did not get cleaned one day, so we had to wait in the lobby until that was done. Outdoor pool is too cold for swimming, even in the summer months.
Nice buffet breakfast with many options, including cold and hot coffee, fresh fruit, and French toast. Staff was attentive and courteous. The gratis dinner (finger-food) buffet was also a nice perk.
