Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing - everything was great.
My daughter and I had an excellent stay. Gilbert treated us almost like family members, making us feel most welcome. It's a lovely, peaceful place right by the river, and the food was simply amazing - best place we ate on our two-week trip around Goa. I would totally recommend Jardin d'Ulysse, and would one day like to return.

ItalyEverything was perfect
Breakfast was very good and service outstanding. We also eat at their restaurant and the meals were delicious. Not to mention the kindness of the people at the hotel and restaurant - really superb. Particularly, the owner is always available, gentile and helpful - we felt like at home! Even my 10-year old daughter loved Jardin d'Ulysse and didn't want to leave!

IndiaThe fawning over foreigners ..probably long stays but it's pretty glaringly obvious and makes one feel not so good about ignored blatantly ..sorry had to say it..otherwise the property deserves all the love
The location of the stay..right across the river and a stone's throw from the beach ..super peaceful..has couple of cafes nearby..Comfy beds with beautiful bedspreads and ours was a family room ..3 of us shared 2 rooms.. loved their bkfast spread especially the homemade marmalade and toast and elachi tea bags in the room and loved the monogram of a flower on their towels ..bkfast is post 8:30..its not like a hotel with a big bfkast spread and dedicated room service..but serving staff are quick when called out to or when you get their attention..Pricey meals for the location ..Well cooked and presented .. portion sizes are small..Love how a couple of strays are also part of their property ..Gilbert, the owner of the property is helpful when approached ..booked us a cab to the airport and also suggested Fort Tiracol for a quick visit ..The basketball hoop near our room for a quick throw too was a plus and watching the owner's son play footie there was absolutely delightful ...

United StatesThere were a couple of dogs that were I believe pets at the property, but I am not too sure. If one is uncomfortable around them, it could be an issue.
The breakfast was excellent. The coffee was excellent, there was fresh fruit; vegan options were available and it exceeded our expectation. The staff was very friendly and helpful

IndiaNothing to dislike!
Everything exceeded our expectations - from the wonderful staff and their generous hospitality and responsiveness, to the outstanding flavors of the food served in their kitchens and the proximity to the ocean, we were blown away, simply. The sea is right outside the main doors of this gorgeous boutique property, so one can literally step out and there's the sea right there! Morjim beach is a 5-min walk in any case, and it is one of the most peaceful, quiet beaches in the otherwise chaotic North Goa area, currently. The common spaces in the property were also gorgeous - with outdoor seating under the giant canopy of trees and cabanas. There was even a "machaan" sort of a treetop place on wooden stilts with very comfortable floor seating and cushions, which we used during the day to lounge, read and while away the mornings from. As for the room, our suite room had beautiful rustic aesthetics (which was true of the entire property!) and a private balcony that overlooked a forest of trees, through which we could also see a sliver of the ocean. The balcony was perfect for a session of morning meditation and for us to sit out amidst birdcall and sip our morning tea. The rooms were very tastefully done, with gorgeous four poster beds, and a long window seat that flanked the french windows. The architecture of the entire property was crafted with so much detail and beauty, keeping the natural landscape and trees undisturbed - it felt as though we were staying in the midst of a forest. And I would be very amiss if I did not mention the dogs - they were so very affectionate and adorable! In all, an outstanding secret gem of Morjim - one I will keep coming back to, over and over again!

FranceA gem in Morjim. Litterally 2 min walk from Morjim beach and a 400 rps taxi ride to beautiful Ashwem. Just a few lovely rooms in a lush garden, some with open air bathroom ! Food offer from the restaurant is perfect at any time of the day at a very reasonable price. You can enjoy your meal or a drink with a view on Chapora river :) Other food option are available right next door and its easy to grab some goceries from Morjim village.. It was easy to explore all around north Goa : the most lively part !

United StatesI would probably offer a mosquito net for the rooms. Especially as the bathroom of our room was entirely outside, it made it difficult for us to keep bugs out of the bedroom. I would also say that breakfast was disappointing. It was the blandest thing I had in India and although I understand the place caters to Russians and Europeans, I would offer an Indian breakfast option for those with more adventurous palates.
We loved the outdoor bathroom of the Honeymoon room as well as the beautiful real jungle theme of the whole property. It was really wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable and had the perfect ambiance. Staff was also great and the manager was very helpful and spent some time drinking with us and sharing information about Goa. Also the dogs are wonderful!
