There was no intercom facility and if the books in the kids area could be arranged such that it’s possibly age segregated would be great.

We really loved the hospitality! The food was par excellence each day! The whole ambience and kindness of all the staff spoke volumes of the establishment. Tracey and Gibran went out of their way to help us and we were really grateful for a peaceful, joyful and fun holiday with the kids. Mr Rohan Mathias engaged us in meaningful conversations which were personal and he took the time to be warm and friendly each day. Went via the property for the safari and got really lucky and sighted a leopard. At the property itself, we got to see plenty of wildlife. Our kids were thrilled to bits with the place!

View from our room wasn’t the best as it was facing towards the dining room & reception area. Other rooms had views across the mountains.

Excellent managers! Very responsive and professional - a perfect blend of efficient and friendly, with a constant eagle-eye on their staff and guest experience. All the food was delicious, always hot and frequently replenished with superb choices. Beautiful, peaceful, unpolluted location with just the sound of birdsong in the air.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The location of Jungle Hut was really special - quiet, near to nature and with fantastic views. Staff were all great and keen to help us enjoy our stay to the full. There were lots of activities on offer, from bird-watching to a trip into the Tiger Reserve. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in one of the luxury tents, which really made us feel like we were on safari! There was a lovely sense of privacy, as the huts and tents were well spread out around the resort. Food was wonderful, lots of variety and high quality - we ate well every day and for every meal. The whole atmosphere felt adventurous, yet safe. We felt we were staying within a local context, as opposed to a faceless international resort.

This family managed property looks after their guests very well. The location is awesome and cottages are well maintained. They even prepared separate vegan meals for us. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The indoor facilities needs upgradation else not much activities on a rainy days and food choice need have more variety ( breakfast was good ) however staying for 3 /4 days lunch and dinner looks to be more of rountine.

Amazing! My room was lovely and clean and spacious. Comfortable bed, good shower with hot water, lush soaps, fan, A/C and a kettle to make tea or coffee. The terrace was perfect. I loved sitting out here with the view of the Nilgiris listening to the beautiful birdsong. Spotted deer wandered the grounds and I also caught sight of monkeys, different species of birds and one morning lots of wild boar! The pool was lush too. There was an amazing buffet laid out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A good variety and delicious! The staff were really friendly and so helpful with planning activities and organising transport. I enjoyed massages, nature walks, birdwatching, a trip in and around Ooty, the elephant camp and two safaris where I got lucky and saw tigers and elephants amongst other wildlife! This was the perfect place to relax and unwind and ideal for a lover of wildlife. Such meditative surroundings. Thank you to all the staff for a fabulous, memorable stay!

The location is very scenic and the cottages were neat and comfortable, the food is delicious and staff was very courteous, the swimming pool is very well maintained, overall enjoyed the stay and looking forward to visit again.

We were asked at least twice by the staff if we were bringing kids along. It's a weird question to asks guests and it's not OK to assume that partners have to have children so please stop asking guests if they are bringing children especially if there was already an option to choose this in the booking. Also, I mentioned we were reaching at 3 pm to check in to which I got a reply 'oh ok'.

Nothing. It is extremely difficult to point out even a single item or occasion.

Main road safari and birding walk with highly knowledgeable and courteous guide Mr Rajesh was incomparable and was delightful. We had excellent sighting everyday. Food preparations and non-repeating veg and non-veg menu was tempting and added with excellent weather, resulted in overeating for all of us. Entire staff was highly cooperative and always smiling, in spite of language problem. We would love to visit the place again

Jungle hut is one of the most amazing places i have stayed . Thank you to the friendly staff who were more like family to us during our vacation. There was utmost care taken to attend to our needs and it was home away from home. The food is just out of the world and I have never had such a culinary experience even in 5 star accomodations . Everything was perfect!

Everything was perfect. I decided to go here after reading all the amazing reviews about this place, vibe, hospitality and food. And it did not disappoint :) The deers are everywhere!! We opted to go for the bird watching activity and the guide was extremely well versed with all the birds. They also have freshly made jams and pickles for sale. I love the fact that this place felt so homely and they employ the local folk from the nearby village. If you're lucky, you might end up spotting elephants or bears.

There was a all day and almost all night celebration going on at the temple next to Jungle Hut with very very loud music.

Location in the middle of the buffer zone enables the sighting of wild life within the Jungle Hut area (elephants, bear, deer and so on)! Staff is so helpful and customer-oriented. From the guards, to the restaurant employees to the hosts - everyone is extremly friendly! They have a very good bird-specialist with whom you can go on interesting walks. Food is really delicious. The perfect place for a carefree package!

I’ve stayed a total of 4 nights at Jungle Hut following the good reviews of this place. Since the first minute after my arrival I felt very warm welcomed and part of the “family”. This place is such a great experience, people are so helpful and kind, surrounded by a fantastic nature and mountain view as well as animals like deer’s and langur monkeys just in front of your bungalow. The rooms are very clean and functional nice (not a given in India) and the food is just terrific ! My recommendation - jungle hut safaris are the best choice- I ve made one with the government jeep going into the wild and 2 with Jungle hut on small narrow roads (2,5h). They reasonable priced, being well guided and you most likely will see elephants, peacocks and sometimes even more 😊....as longest I am staying in India (expat), I will come back again next spring. Looking forward 😊

We had a fantastic stay at Jungle Hut. We loved the place, we had the feeling to be far from the World with a fantastic view on the mountains, the deers coming early in the misty morning in the garden. We did the 2 morning walks proposed by the hotel and both was really great. Highly recommended. Massages are nice also. I wish we will come back again.
