How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewDinner was delicious. Ambience and feel of the open restaurant was superb in the evening. Loved the experience with the courteous staff
Place needs to be little more lit up and tiled especially the path to the garden rooms. It needs better planning of outlay and overall beautification.

Verified reviewExceptional stay in one of the quietest places we’ve visited in India. Super close to the Brahma Temple and the market. Without a doubt, a must during your time in Pushkar.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was excellent, and the staff were truly very friendly and welcoming. The hotel's decor and location were absolutely perfect — we couldn't have asked for better. We especially loved the patio and the lush, green garden. It's a warm and inviting place where you instantly feel at ease. We also had a real soft spot for the main manager, Dharmendra, whom we would like to thank for everything he did for us. We'll be back !
If we were to make one suggestion, it would be to offer daily room cleaning service. That was the only thing missing.

Verified reviewOur host Dharmendra. He was very kind with us and he brought us to the temple at the mountain top at sunrise. The room was genuinely beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was very good too, with fresh, ripe, seasonal fruit and a variety of options.
Nothing, the stay was perfect

Verified reviewGreat central location close to the old temple. We stayed in a quiet annex building slightly removed from the main hotel, which provided peace and privacy. The breakfast and coffee were very good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is situated in a busy bazaar area, and we found the pricing to be slightly on the high side considering the surroundings and available amenities

Verified reviewThis Hotel is amazing. I love the green and cosy backyard which appear like an oasis in the middle of Pushkar. Short walking distance to Lake Pushkar and markets with handcrafted items everywhere. Definitely a recommended stay because it was very clean - the cleanest on my travel so far. Also the overall facilities are excellent, I guess it was renovated not long ago because everything looks so good in shape - just beautiful. The pictures don’t lie. Manager Oharmendra and Team treated us very warmly and welcoming. They came with good recommendations. The food at the nutmeg cafe for breakfast and any other occasion is also very nice. If I come back to Pushkar I would definitely check-in again.

Verified reviewI didn't expect to stay the entire time at Kothi, I thought it was just a pitstop until I found something better. But it was actually a great place to stay! Even though it was right on the main bazaar, the rooms are set back a bit so it was really nice and quiet. It's a super convenient location, close enough to everything I needed. The room was fantastic. Everything new and super clean, really big and spacious with a great shower. But the best part of the whole stay was the amazing Dharma. This man was doing literally everything - signing you in, carrying luggage, serving breakfast, cleaning, watering the plants, booking cars, giving advice, helping to make your stay perfect in any way possible. I mean he was everywhere at once and so lovely and friendly with it. Give this man a raise please. I wish I had one staff member as motivated as him! I will definitely return to Kothi Pushkar next time I visit, and look forward to seeing Dharma again.
all was great

Verified reviewWhat a wonderful little haven KothiPushkar is! Stepping off the busy streets into the beautiful gardens of this hotel was a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle. The manager, Dharmendra is an abolute gem and I hope the hotel owners know how lucky they are to have him there! Nothing was ever too much trouble and he always greeted us with a cheerful greeting and remembered everyone's name. He seems to cover several roles including waiter, gardener, reception and even tour guide! I really enjoyed the sunrise walk to Savitri temple with Dharmendra and other hotel guests. It was lovely to see him carry water to ensure the animals had access to fresh drinking water. The rooms were really charming and comfortable with everything you need. The newer rooms a short distnace form the main property a quieter so this is something to consider if noise is an issue for you. They are also building a pool which will be a wonderful addition to an already amazing property. All the porters and hotel staff were really helpful and respectful.
For the first three nights we were in a room at the front of the heritage building, which while lovely, was a little noisy at times. it overlooked two busy market streets.

Verified reviewGreat hotel, in a very pretty building, an old palace full of charm, with a small garden and a very pleasant cafe restaurant, very well located in the shuk but quiet. The team is friendly and attentive and a special word to Dharmendra who welcomed us so kindly and cared about us throughout the stay. He brought us with him to the morning prayer at the Savitri temple, before sunrise to contemplate the arrival of the sun in a splendid nature, wonderful memory! Thank you Dharmendra

Verified reviewThe hotel was very well located and our room was beautiful. Everything worked as it should. Although the front of the hotel is in a shopping street, it became very quiet at night. Also the back patio was a peaceful oasis in the city. The staff was really polite and friendly. The breakfast tasty, my husband still regrets not taking a pancake :)
Keep in mind that Pushkar is a city where they do not serve alcohol or eggs. Big thumbs up for the management who really gentle tried to explain this to an unknown tourist who wanted eggs for breakfast.

It was a great place to relax, also in the garden in the front of our room. The breakfast was amazing as well. The location was perfect for exploring Pushkar. Definitely recommend!

Verified reviewThis place was A M A Z I N G! The room was extremely clean—honestly, the cleanest I’ve seen in India. It was also SUPER QUIET and serene, easily the most peaceful spot I’ve experienced here in India. The garden area was stunning, perfect for relaxing. The host, Vermenda, is a LEGEND—always looking for ways to make my stay even nicer. He was super hospitable, kind and always there to help or just say HI with a big smile. The food and drinks at the bar were perfect and the location was great too. Oh, and the beds? So comfy! Plus, they offer the best massage I’ve had in India. Highly recommend this place—it’s a total winner!
