The place is well located, was very clean and Staff was very polite....Rahul at Reception ensure seamless check-in and was helpful in showing what places can easily be visited nearby hotel...Location of hotel is stratergic and most of places are nearby. Rooms were cleaned everyday with bottle water provided. Overall very good and pleasant stay at the family run haveli...

A bit tricky to get to, can't do so by car, but tuk-tuks available. Some electricity supply issues (not hotel's fault, actually they handled these quite well using a local generator).

Very interesting place, old-style, but nicely updated facilities. Large, comfortable room, nice, if old-fashioned bathroom. Great food in the restaurant. Excellent view from the restaurant and roof-top terrace. Walking distance to palace and lake. Recommended.

A bit too many messages sent to guests before and after the stay. Also, the duvet and pillow covers were a bit old.

The haveli is conveniently located right in the center, only a short walk to the lake and City palace. The views from the rooftop were amazing! The food at the restaurant was also good. And the staff were friendly.

The only thing I did not like was the multiple messages before my stay asking me for details of my arrival for the pickup. This was most disturbing and created stress. When I stated they have the information, the response was all in upper case blaming a coworker. In the end the information was not correct and I was forced to pay extra to a tuktuk driver to complete my journey. This had not been clearly explained. When I spoke to staff about it they just brushed it off with an ‘explanation’.

It was a quiet and beautiful place in the heart of the city center. The staff was very helpful and sweet. We also enjoyed breakfast. There were available both Indian and more European options there. Very convenient to have a restaurant at the same building. We are happy that we chose this hotel as a place to stay for our trip in Udaipur.

Cars can’t reach Kotra Haveli so we took an auto from City Palace

We had an amazing time at Kotra Haveli! The place is just beautiful and so well-kept. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and perfect for families. And the food was really tasty! Everything we ate was packed with flavor. It’s one of those places where you feel so comfortable.

The location of the property is awesome and close to most of the tourist destinations. Property is very clean and staffs are very courteous.

It’s not really about the property itself but I’ve had to be aware that this part of the city is full of stray dogs that bark at night when temperatures get low. We’ve been awaken two nights in a row and the dogs were barking for an hour or more.

The staff was very welcoming and assisting us with any request. We had bottled water delivered at our arrival and on demand all along our stay. The property is by the City Palace and the roof terrace offers a stunning view of it. The hotel restaurant is very good too.

The location is further away from the main part of the city as it’s sectioned off in alleyways but it’s close to City Palace (10 mins walkable distance). Rickshaws/tuk-tuks can get in but definitely seems harder with cars due to the narrow streets, so recommended to go further down where there’s space to grab car or taxi. No issues with the hotel itself.

Nice hotel with restaurant included for breakfast or dinner. Room service is also included. Room itself was quite spacious and basic amenities such as water bottles, tea and bathroom supplies were provided. Also close to City Palace.

So far after 10 days having same budget in cities, Kotra Haveli has been the best hotel by far. The hotel is very clean and it's looking better than the pics (we have experienced so far that hotels don't like the photos so far). Also is very convenient in terms of location and staff was super friendly. I would surely go back to Kotra Haveli if I come back to Udaipur

Unfortunately towards the evening a sizeable amount of insects had found their way into our washroom. The bathroom facilities in general were not as nice as the rest of the room. The breakfast buffet was rather small, though it can be supplemented by menu at extra cost.

The building is palace like and very pretty. The rooms are equally beautiful and spacious. The room service and the ordered meals were excellent and good value. The location is very central.

Professionally run operation. Large rooms. Great rooftop area with a stunning view to the City Palace. Breakfast was adequate with dinner meals of good quality. Can highly recommend this establishment.

I got a room with a window that didn't open and with curtains that weren't able to be pulled back, so it felt a bit like a windowless room. But, I couldn't argue given the price. I got a last minute deal on booking.com and paid about about 5200 for 3 nights.

Great location in heart of old city, but tucked away, so it's a little quieter. Room was very spacious and clean.The hotel has a type of internal courtyard, all white marble floors and walls (very clean) and spacious, with lots of mature pot plants. It was a lovely setting to open my room door to. Great views of the city and city palace from the rooftop restaurant. I didn't eat there, but the staff were super friendly and eager to help, eg frequently filling up my water bottle with filetered water. I'd definitely recommend Kota to friends/family!
