Description of room should be clear that room doesn't have a mountain view. In a hill station everyone likes to have a mountain view. After reaching hotel they show that you have booked "superior" double bedroom but it doesn't have a mountain view. Clearly mention "without mountain view" would have been apt for the same. If you give an option upfront, it would have been better.

Given the front entrance location building is still under construction, not having a lift is a negative given the stairs are very steep and way too many for people travelling with old parents. Hope this changes soon!

The entire place is really well maintained and clean. The view from the room is equally good! It was a very comfortable stay for me & my family. And, the best thing to try from their menu is definitely the CHAI ❤️

Its near to MG maeg but be ready to walk uphill for 20 mins. Amit is a young chap who manages the property is a very cooperative fellow. While booking make sure to book mountain facing room or you will end up facing a wall.

The portico decoration bcz it's a beautiful place to hang out in the evening...a lil more coziness would be cherry on the top of the cake.

Would definitely recommend to stay at this property to anyone who visits Gangtok. Even in peak season the price was so comfortable and the ambience was beyond expectations.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience! The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, providing both comfort and style. The staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, making me feel truly welcome. Especially Amit was a cool person who was very helpful and he helped us in booking tickets for Nathula pass also. A very helpful person whom we met. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with a great variety of options to suit every taste. I also appreciated the excellent location, which made it easy to explore the nearby attractions. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay. I can’t wait to come back!

I recently stayed at Hotel Lha Yul in Gangtok for 3 nights and had a truly memorable experience. I had initially booked a Standard room, but upon arrival, I loved the Mountain View room, and the staff happily upgraded us on request. I highly recommend choosing the Mountain View rooms for the best experience—they offer a stunning view of the surrounding hills. The hospitality was outstanding. A special thanks to Amit and Deepankar for being so supportive and friendly throughout our stay. The owner was very helpful as well—he even arranged our Nathula Pass tour, which turned out to be a magical experience with snowfall and snow-covered mountains. If you’re trying to locate the hotel online or via maps, search for “Avana Lha Yul” for accurate directions. It’s also conveniently located within walking distance of MG Marg, which makes exploring Gangtok easy and enjoyable.
