Very clean and neat space. Safe for solo women travelers. It's away from the busy city. Be prepared to walk to get to sights, especially across Ram jhulla. Transport available but upto 8 ot 9pm.

Hygiene was an issue. Many small hair stuck onbthe floor of my room. Basically the mop that they use is not clean. When i asked for a recleaning on my 3rd day, to my shock, the cleaner was going to clean the washbasin with the toilet brush! He was clueless about which chemical to use for what and didnt have proper equipment to clean. Bathroom tiles, doors need deep cleaning. The rug was old and dusty which i asked them to remove from my room. The chairs kept in the room were also very old and dusty and the material infact was not easy to clean at all. The common areas seemed decently cleaned. Also at night some ppl came to 4th floor (dame as mine) and talked very loudly. This happened twice around 4am. I guess this is expected in a hostel. All said, i may still book them again coz of great location and views

Ajit- manager was very helpful wwith all suggestions and connecting with people if u r a solo traveller so i could share taxi costs. Location and view was super- ganga river just in the front, many cafes nearby. Since laxman jhula was closed, can take boat to cross the river. I was on the 4th floor and i believe it is the best floor to stay (private rooms only)

The room is abit expensive for the value.. There is an option of using the common showers which was good for us since we had a late night taxi the day we left (checkout was early) but there was only cold water which was kinda challenging

It's a hostel, sometimes there will be noise at odd hours!

This hostel is in a terrific location near Laxman Jhula. Plenty of cafes close by and the re is an onsite cafe, albeit with limited choices. The breakout areas on each floor are a nice touch and the view over the Ganges from our room was exceptional. The rooms are small but comfortable.

The window in the washroom was broken.

I stayed at Zostel Laxman Jhula for 1 night. We had to walk almost a kilometer from Ram Jhula (since Laxman Jhula is closed). We chose the room with the balcony view and it was good. Although the view from the balcony was not so great, it helped keep the room properly ventilated. We booked a room in a 6-bed mixed dorm. The washroom was good except that the window in the washroom was broken. There was no glass or anything in the washroom. So if anyone uses the facility in the night anyone from outside will be able to see it. The washroom has a geyser which was working absolutely fine. And the shower too was working perfectly. The staff was helpful. Overall great experience. (Pics attached)

The rooms could have been slightly bigger and slightly more comfortable.

The location is amazing. Everything is available with in the walking distance and loved the access to the Ganga river from the property. There are many cafes and shops near by. There was live music at the property on the day we stayed there and it was just a beautiful experience. Even the food at their kitchen is really good and the staff is very friendly.

The property location was bang on spot. All major spots such as ram jhula Janaki jhula and ofcourse Laxman Jhula were easily accessible.

The stay at zostel was very very pleasant.. staff was very friendly i met with amazing people nd had a lot of fun staying there .. staff even took us to sunset point themselves rather than just telling there is some sunset point u can see..

Zostel should contact the customers prior to the check in dates regarding the stay and Directions to visit the place. The number provided here is not reachable. As Laxman Jhula in Rishikesh has been closed for a while now, there should be a communication with customers in how to reach the place. I faced many things while crossing the bridge via River and Dragging my luggage as every road there is steep.

The Cleanliness and the staff was very nice. Komal, the volunteer at Zostel was very cooperative and helpful in guiding the travel spots.
