The AC remote didn’t display the temperature, making it hard to adjust and causing some sweaty nights. There are dogs both on the property and just outside on the street, stray ones mostly. Great if you’re a dog lover, but I’m not much of a dog person. There are no shower cabins or curtains, so water spreads around the bathroom when showering.

The staff were helpful, always ready to assist with our plans. Food was good, and the property has many inviting corners to sit back and unwind. We loved the location-set in Odayam, about a 15-minute walk from North Cliff—close enough to Varkala, yet far more peaceful. The property itself beautifully blends Kerala’s traditional charm with modern comforts.

Absolutely Gorgeaous place to stay! The accommodation is at the beach, just outside the busiest part and you can walk there in about 4 minutes. I feel like it’s the perfect distance away to avoid the noise at night and early morning but close enough to enjoy all the cafes, restaurants and cliff side viewing. The guesthouse has really good food, a lovely pool and was so peaceful. Overall a stunning place to be around! Wow. Absolutely brilliant stay at Magnolia guest house and will definitely return. I would 100% reccomend to anybody 😊

Everything was good

The location was central to North and South Cliff. Also it’s beach facing so some rooms have beach view else it’s a 2 mins easy walk. The room was larger than usual, cleaned daily, with strong wifi, AC and good shower facilities. The staff was prompt, cleaning was provided daily on request and they also gave us complimentary breakfast on all days. One night we got stuck in a thunderstorm and they promptly arranged for transport back to the hotel Special mention to Nijad for organising our excursions like surfing and travel to nearby places.

The general interior gives a pleasant Scandinavian vibe, though a few items like the cupboard felt slightly out of place. The sheet on the small bed appeared a little yellowed and lacked freshness. The restaurant offered a limited menu, so having a few more options would have been nice.

The staffs are so friendly and helpful. Restaurant food is tasty. Not beachfront but nearby.

We loved the feel of the stay - friendly, warm, comfortable. The staff were very welcoming. The site is beautiful with a lovely warm pool and the beach a stones throw away. Rooms were spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable. Food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. I would love to return!

Cute cottages, nice and clean. Nice greenery around it and a cute porch. Very nice staff and good food! Walking distance of the Odyama beach, 5 minutes. Also walking distance of Varkala, nice cliff walk of 20-25 minutes . The best side of Varkala!

Wifi was a bit spotty.
